Beautifully restored factory turned into a well organised museum, showing the unique technology and it' unmissable impact on the development of Pécs. It is a pity that very few advertisements draw attention to this great place.

It gives for both kids and adults.

During a river cruise, my husband and I stopped in historic Pecs for a visit. We had an opportunity to spend time at the magnificent Pecs Cathedral, Zolnay’s Museum to see and hear about the manufacturing of its famous porcelain tile and the Cella Septichora burial site. It was an educational experience and an incredible photo op. Lots to see and enjoy. Don’t miss this place.

A half-day amusement complex hiding silently in the centre of the city. Beautifully renovated museum area combined with manufactures. Don't miss the hand glove exhibition and manufacture either. A few steps away the lately restored mausoleum is also a must-see.
20 years ago this whole area was nothing for the eyes of a visitor. The legend of the Zsolnay family and their masterpiece works was reborn by now.

We came here after a 20-minutes walk from the city center. The road leading to Zsolnay wasn't promising, and therefore our surprise was greater when we arrived! This huge industrial complex is completely turned into a lovely district where you can easily spend the whole afternoon. Everything is well organized offering you all you can need: from shops and restaurants, to Puppet theater and small Planetarium, exhibition center and galleries. The town's history and culture and perfectly combined with contemporary way of living and the latest design tendencies. Pecs is lucky to have this type of place within their offer and it is not only recommendable for anyone visiting this charming town - I would say that it is a must, if you want to get to know the Pecs people's effort in levelling up their dedication to history, culture and knowledge.

You should certainly visit this compound, no need to go inside each building. You may need 2 hrs with no rush to enjoy this compound.

a fabulous tour of fantastic craftsmanship. Do not miss the manual demonstration of craftsmanship, the art and the artists working there. Of course, one may not photograph the artists there but the products themselves speak for their craftsmanship. If in Pécs, do not miss it. It is even worth a special trip from Budapest.

As Hungary had the highest peak in its history at the end of the 19th century, the family and their works are one of the most important place to see.
There are a lot of things to see: museums, exhibitions, manufacturers' shops and also attractions for children.
And don't forget to raise your eyes to the roofs around you: marvelous design. Try to find all beautiful pieces of the era. There is also guided tour available!

This is my second time in Pecs and first thing I visit again in this quarter. It is paradise for everyone eye. Perfect architecture, nice restaurant, the tastiest chocolate in small shop and wish to come again.

Actually we've been there twice. 1st was in the late evening, the jazz concert in E78. Check the local programs as they have quite regular events there. 2nd time was on a day of departure from Pecs, we planned just couple of hours but hardly left after 5hr. This is a paradise for photography, especially on a sunny day. Don't miss a gloves manufacture, which is somewhat less popular and underevaluated (we loved it! Where else you can see the process of making the super quality gloves?!)
Stop for high quality lunch in Zsolnay Restaurant (see my other review).
Buying the combo ticket for everything is a great deal.

Unfortunately, we didn´t have enough time to visit the museum, but saw the surroundings, sculpture in the garden. Next time we´ll se the inside as well to follow the history of the famous factory.
