The boat trip we went for was a 9am-2pm boat hire which included guide, Takis, to drive us for 200€. The average trip was to go from Amoudi beach to the shipwreck beach, through the blue caves and back, however our driver went above and beyond to ensure our trip was worthwhile.

Takis did everything he could to make sure our trip was safe, comfortable and fun. He was happy to stop anywhere we requested for a swim or to sunbathe on the blue waters, including taking us to less busy, secret spots for a snorkel in the caves or quiet swim. We even pulled into a hidden cave and very small beach, which Takis had never been to, for a lunch stop. We took our own food and drinks on board.
Takis taught me how to drive the boat, joined in with a drink and long conversation with us, answering all questions about local places and culture. Takis is very knowledgable about the sea, and is a great driver of this small boat. Can’t thank him enough for making our holiday with this trip.

With Covid-19 requirements to social distance and alterations to safety, we felt very grateful to have a private boat for our family alone plus Takis - we drove past some larger boats with many many people crammed in, not respecting social distancing guidelines.

We rented the Pedal boat with slide which was great fun for my kids (15, 12) and the Jet Ski.

They are safe, trustworthy and the equipment was in good condition. For nervous adults like me they kindly provided a life jacket for the pedal boat!

Since my kids were first time on a Jet Ski, Takis was very patient with giving them instructions and stayed in the water to watch them throughout their ride. Greatly enjoyed chatting with Andreas while my kids were on the Pedal boat and Jet Ski.

Thank you Andreas & Takis for the fun rides! Highly recommended!

Great day out. We had two boats - Takis and Costas were our captains. We were looked after from start to finish. Highlight swimming in the blue caves and seeing a turtle. Can’t wait to come back and do it again. Very trustworthy

Fantastic experience! The two of us hired one of the small powered leisure boats for the day with a ‘captain’ to take us up the coast to visit the Blue Caves, to go snorkelling and to have lunch on a sheltered beach. We left Alykanas beach at 9am in the morning and being one of the first boats on the water at this time it was absolute bliss. It meant we arrived at the Blue Caves and the small sheltered coves further up the coast well before the big tourist boats arrived with their tens if not hundreds of passengers! Our captain piloted us deep into the Blue Caves to get some great photos and he also took us to some great places to go snorkelling – again without the maddening crowds! We were then dropped off at a beautiful location to have our packed lunch in some privacy – spending just over an hour on a remote pebbled beach with the coolbox, towels, sunscreen, shallow turquoise waters and wonderful sea views. After being picked-up from our lunch break we were then taken back towards Alykanas via more isolated coves and coastal landmarks. We arrived back at approx.3pm. All in all a fabulous day out and a much better option for a boat trip than going on the tourist ‘bus’ boats. It is possible to hire the boat without a captain and drive yourself but having never done this before we felt we made the right decision to make it a stress-free day and pay a little extra to have someone drive and also show us the best areas to visit and the best time of day to go there.

We hired a boot for a day, just 65 euro! We had good information over the bleu caves, and good information over the boot. We went to the blue caves, and just lay there for a time, and had a swim. Later we were crusing on the coast line, and saw the island from a very different view! Beautifull! It's better to hier jou're onw boat, then go on a boat with other people!

Getting a motorboat and exploring the Island's coast was the best thing we ever did on our holiday to Alykes. As a sailor (didn't mention this to them) I can tell you that instructors are really amazing and safety is made high priority which is excellent. We had the most incredible time anchoring up and having a lay in the sun on the deck with our little music system we brought... nothing like it!! Also did a bit of off shore swimming, exploring the caves and looking into the crystal clear blue water... BEAUTIFUL!

Hired a small boat for family of 4 from 10am till 4pm. Very thorough with the instructions, great little boat. 90 euros plus fuel which is much cheaper than was quoted elsewhere. They are on Alykes beach now so please try and find them. Lots of snorkelling and great scenery. Lovely day out.
