We visited this on impulse, not expecting much. However it was better than we thought. Don't get me wrong, the exhibitions are really poor and virtually totally in French. However, going up in the lift and walking on top, 70 metres high was great and our two teenagers enjoyed it. Good price and free hire of binoculars. It closes for lunch so check opening times. Aim to get there bang on when it opens after lunch and you will have the place to yourself for a while until the tourists descend.

Ended up here by chance on way to Jardin du Vent we spotted a sign and went to have a look. V glad we did. There is a small exhibition at the bottom of the tower which was interesting although in French so not so good if no one in the group speaks French. Then lifts up to the top of the tower which has a viewing platform all around. There are free binocular:telescope things dotted about through which you can see for miles. There are signs nearby showing what there is to see on each direction - we spotted the Noirmoutier bridge and the big wheel in St Jean plus boats on the sea among other things. Even the not-easily-impressed teenagers enjoyed it. Well worth a visit.

Want a different outing that won’t break the bank then you have found it here, i was sceptical at first, very sceptical as I don’t like heights and the family like to remind me of that regularly, especially near high things. My intention was to bundle the teenagers and wife into the lift and remain in Terra firma, however I promised I’d at least use the lift, whether I’d get out was a different story. Well it’s worth it, it’s very secure and safe and the view over the Marais, coast and bocage are great, even my 2 teenage boys were impressed, you don’t even feel as if your on top of a concrete tube

It was €4.50 per adult and a bit less for the kids, it got us all talking and broke up the day.

Try the binoculars on posts at the top, people have no clue your watching them !!

Certainly a place to visit. Take the lift right to the top for a fantastic view for miles around. Small museum on ground level with hands on for children.

Great value for money. Slightly disappointed that we could not use the stairs to reach the top ( a ride in an elevator does not carry quite the same sense of achievement ), but the views were amazing and there was an English commentary available. The tower is illuminated at night and look out for events held there. During our trip there was a children's film, projected onto the tower itself, a free evening event.

Nice view, we were happy there was an elevator, because we visited Kulmino with our baby boy in the stroller. Good facilities, nice picknick area for when the weather is good.
