Great private tour with Noemi (Naomi)
2020. okt. • Romantikus
We were lucky to get a private tour with Noemi (Naomi) early October. Her English is fantastic. She gave us a great tour that was interesting as well as entertaining. Her love for nature and caves is contagious. (She also gave us a great recommendation + detailed desciption for a fabulous hike to Monte Corchia.) Thank you so much!

Closed, with no indications
2020. szept.
I found a leaflet in my hotel, it seemed an interesting experience and everything was explained well.

The leaflet stated '"open every day from june to MID SEPTEMBER."

"Museum opening hours 11:30-15:30"

I went there September the 10th and arrived at 13:30.

ALL shops and ticket offices were closed. Nobody to ask anything from, no information or timetable on the outside.

The people from nearby restaurants did not know anything about the opening hours and thought it should be open.

Total disorganization, bad food in the local restaurant.

A complete waste of time, long useless trip to get there among uninteresting mountain roads, untrue leaflet.

Incredible natural spectacle!

What an amazing place. I have been in caves before but nothing like this. I would happily have spent hours there, it feels like stepping back into the dawn of the world.

Our tour guide Noemi was brilliant, incredibly knowledgeable, talking about the discovery and exploration of the caves, enthusiastic and thoughtful, making sure all the group was managing, chatting to the children, and working in photo stops.

You will definitely need a fleece and proper shoes with grip. It is cold but not freezing, we were all ok in shorts.

As it lasts 2 Hours, It is ESSENTIAL to be reasonably fit for this; there are nearly 2000 steps, lots of the ground is uneven, some of it is slightly slippery. I wouldn’t recommend for children under age 5 unless they are very sure footed, or for anyone who finds stairs tricky. We saw one pensioner having to be escorted out after only the first set of steps.

Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a change from more usual tourist spots. It really is incredible.

Well worth the entry fee. Had we realised how long the tour was we would have come earlier in the day so we had time to go on the various mine tours and to the museums as well.

Wrong Timetable on the website!!!
2020. jún. • Baráti
We been assisted by the a super helpful and professional Dutch guide, was fun to listen to her explanations along the way and to her we give even 6 stars. On the other hand, it is unforgivable that we rent a car and drive for hours to get to the little town Levigliani on time, just to figure out at the door step of the place that there is no tour at 3 oclock, only at 4.30 because the TIMETABLE INFORMATION ON THE WEBSITE IS WRONG!! We were unable to deliver the car back to the rental company before the agreed time and we ended up having to pay it for an extra day

exciting day
2019. aug.
If you are in apuanian alps you have to see it. Be ready for exciting excursion through million years of earth history. But remember; firstly you have to reach to the enter of the cave. It means short bus trip in very narrow mountain road, with many extremly sharp curves. It's absolutelly unforgotten experience.

Superb experience!
2019. aug. • Családi
We decided to make the hot summer week by the sea more interesting by our trip to the cave. Our choice proved to be great, the cave is just beautiful. There's no point in describing it, it just has to be experienced. The route is less than 4 kilometers long and takes about 2 hours. The temperature inside is pleasant 7 ° C. Sweatshirt is not necessary if you are not a pampered American, but it requires appropriate shoes, at least sneakers. If you are lucky, you will come across a guide Noemi, who knows everything about the cave. You will hardly find a more talkative woman on this planet. Noemi was the best guide to us. Really great experience, I RECOMMEND !!!

Perfect Activity for any weather type
2019. júl. • Családi
Since it's a steady 7.6 degrees in the caves, this is a perfect activity for any type of weather. Beautiful cave system with good stairs and walking platforms. Wear a sweater and good shoes though. One of the most beautiful caves I've seen.

Great way to beat the heatwave in Italy!
2019. jún. • Baráti
Great walk through an amazing cave system. The formations were mysterious and amazing. The 55 degree temps were just what the doctor ordered during this heat wave. The bus ride to the cave was worth the price of admission. Noemi did a great job of handling two groups and speaking in both English and Italian to give us an informative tour!

Beautiful cave away from the crowds
2018. okt. • Egyszemélyes
A quieter alternative to the very busy Grotta del Vento on the other side of the mountains. Note that there's only a 2h walk, not varied options, and in late Oct only two departures per day. Our knowledgeable guide was very enthusiastic and didn't mind translating for me (the only non-Italian) everything into English.

Best cave visit
2018. szept. • Baráti
I have visited caves all over the world but theses are the best. So extensive with so many features that you see close at hand. The bus takes you up and then it is a 2hour visit with 17 00 steps. So good a must if you are in area
