Andy was a perfect host for the day. We were celebrating a birthday with family and friends and it was a brilliant day. The weather was challenging when we set out but it just didn’t matter. It was such good fun, and when the weather improved it was perfect. The food was great and everything was well organised. Safety was always put first, but never impacted on the enjoyment of the day. Thank you Andy - if we could give you 6 stars we would! 😍

We had a fantastic day on the water: the weather was beautiful and our skipper, Andy and his crewmate Izzy were great hosts. The food was absolutely delicious and refreshments were provided throughout. I can thoroughly recommend a day's sailing on Olympus. Thanks again, Andy, Izzy and Frey

Together with nine of my family members, we had the privilege to spend a day on skipper Andy’s yacht, Olympus. We sailed around Falmouth bay from Falmouth to the Helford estuary and then back home. Our party was made up of four adults, four boys aged 11-13 and one 5 month old baby!
From the moment we climbed aboard, Andy, with the help of first mate Megan, made sure that we were comfortable. As we went through the thorough safety briefing we were offered coffee and tea before we set sail. The boys took turns to help sail by either manning the helm, doing the winch or putting up the sails and both Andy and Megan gave them great instruction. For lunch we moored in a sheltered cove at the mouth of the Helford River, where most of us jumped in for a swim before eating a delicious goument ‘deli’ lunch (prepared by Andy, who is also a chef). More swimming after lunch before setting sail to go home. We were lucky that the conditions were ideal for sailing and it was a brilliant way to spend a day whilst also relaxing too. Once we arrived back in Falmouth, just to round things off we were severed a generous Cornish cream tea too!
All in all a great way to spend quality time with the family where you could do as much or as little as you pleased, being taken care of by a very hospitable skipper and his mate!
Would give six stars if I could.

Nine members of the family had a great day out with Andy and Meaghan who were were both very professional and showed great attention to detail Andy had us all in stitches as well as answering everybodies questions about sailing and he and Meaghan did a great job making sure we had a good trip. We all got a chance to steer the boat and help with the rigging. The food was fantastic (especially lunch). I highly recommend a trip with Cornish day sailing.

The wife and I are visiting family in Cornwall and were asked if we would like to go to Cornish Day Sailing once more. We both of course said yes! We went out today with skipper Andy and his new assistant Megan both of whom were friendly, polite, knowledgeable and great fun. The weather has finally turned sunny today which made sailing around Falmouth even more beautiful - the view of Pendennis castle in the morning was stunning.

I've said a lot about how good this company is in my previous review, so I'll just add the following. If you are like me you probably have a few friends who fancy themselves sailors - Andy is the **real** deal and has amazing stories. Megan is new but she's already been around the world twice so knows plenty and then some. They still make amazing food. There's even rum in the coffee to give you a little flavour of the sailing life without the hard work or experience.

I'm rating this 5 stars, but really this lot deserve far more than that. Go and see for yourselves.

Sailed with Andy and mate, Alex, on a wonderfully sunny and breezy afternoon. Olympus is both beautiful and impressive. Plenty of opportunities to help hoist and trim the sails, helm, or just let the crew take the strain. Fantastic sailing area around and outside Falmouth Bay. Will definitely re-book for when we are next in Falmouth.

I booked a day with Cornish Day sailing for my husbands 40th Birthday. We took the children who are 3 and 8 and we all had a fabulous time. Jay and Tom were the perfect team, knowledgeable and friendly, the lunch spread was amazing too with a proper cream tea to finish. Amazing day thank you guys.

This day sail was quite simply the HIGHLIGHT of our Cornish holiday. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we had the most amazing time. Andy and his Crew couldn't have done any more to make our day exceptional. From the lovely coffee to the fabulously delicious lunch (made by the multi talented Andy), home made focaccia, bulgur wheat salad and various other dishes and when the day was done; upon our return to Falmouth a lovely Cornish Cream Tea. Stunning. Stunning. Stunning. We were all given the chance to take the Helm and I literally giggled and screamed my way round (give me my dues - I've never been on a sail boat and the sea was quite "lumpy") - but I had an amazing time, I was a little apprehensive at times as I am 6 months pregnant, but I could not have felt more safe in the experienced hands of Andy and his Crew. Please do this - you will not be disappointed in the slightest!!

Our sailing venture took place over the August bank holiday weekend, so a bit late with the review but could not let the opportunity pass to thank Andy, Freya and Lucy for an amazing day. My husband, friends and I were lucky enough to be invited to share our mutual friend’s birthday party aboard (courtesy of Carole - thank you my dear!) and we all loved it. Freya warmly greeted us whilst Andy and Lucy hosted an amazing day sailing where we got the opportunity to be hands on (bit like Swallows and Amazons…..) The weather was fine with a light drizzle at times (but didn’t stop the two boys (!) diving in the sea – although they didn’t stay in for too long). The whole sailing trip was marvellous. As for the food – WOW, what a treat. Not only is Andy an experienced sailor but also a chef – gosh it couldn’t have got much better! Fabulous lunch and afternoon tea with plenty of fluids! The sparkly was flowing. We would like to try the evening sail next time. To finish the day we visited Freya at the wee hut and purchased souvenirs. Many many thanks for a day that was truly ‘ansome! Hope to see you in Cornwall again.
