About
There has been a weekly Antiques & Collectors' Market in Cirencester's Corn Hall every Friday for more than 40 years. The market starts setting up from just after six every Friday morning, and officially opens at eight. Enthusiasts and collectors will find items here to suit all pockets, from a fiver to five hundred, and ranging from vintage and Art Deco, through to ancient and medieval. Glass, Ceramics and Silver can be found in abundance, as well as Jewellery, Metalwares, Furniture and works of art. Some of the dealers also specialise in Vintage stock, from the 1950s and 60s, including fashion, hats, accessories and costume jewellery. There are usually around 50 dealers, and entry is free. There is excellent town-centre parking.

From glasses to bottle Cork tops, Toby mugs to jewellery and jewelled glass jars. Much to tempt or admire at all ranges of prices plus all indoors and a café in situ. Enjoyed a gander and was tempted by several trinket that a full bag saved me from collecting.

This is a little gem of an antiques market tucked away in the middle of Cirencester, in the Corn Hall and set to become bigger, with improved toilet facilities and a cafe. There is a huge variety of dealers selling furniture, china, glass, silver and jewellery. There are also books, coins, vintage toys and all manner of collectibles. If you are in Cirencester on a Friday this is a must visit destination, and it's free to get in.

There were more than a dozen vendors here, and I imagine it might change from week to week. I saw a few things that I wanted to bring home, but mostly everything was either too fragile or too expensive for me to contemplate bringing home in my suitcase. I ended up purchasing a pair of porcelain transferware cologne bottles, that the dealer said were probably late 19th century midlands in origin. There is a marking, but not a “brand”. They are in very good condition, they look great in my home. The selling point? He offered to wrap them in lots of bubblewrap. I paid 20 GBP for the pair. I didn’t try to barter with anyone, but when I hesitated on items, several dealers offered lower prices, so I think bartering is expected.

This place is brilliant especially on a wet day when you can browse the lovely shops lining the entrance then have a good old nose around all the stalls set up with lovely things which you will want to buy. Set in the heart of Cirencester just opposite the church, it is well worth a visit. Particularly good near christmas and you can mix it with the outdoor christmas market.

It was very enjoyable to browse the stalls and chat to the stallholders. Even if you're not looking for something in particular, it's definitely worth a visit.

Spent a while here browsing through an interesting selection of antiques and collectables. Very friendly and helpful staff. Stock turns over so you would need to go back again and again to see if they have what you are looking for.

Makes no wish to visit after attending the very small - but nice - open market. Do not plan to visit, just pass through.

Hi MelpEconoConsl, Obviously we are very disappointed by your "review", but suspect that you've never actually visited the Antiques & Collectables Market in the Corn Hall, which could never be described as "Tiny", and is certainly not "open". Around 45 dealers stand at the indoor Market every Friday, and fill the Corn Hall with a diverse array of genuine antiques, collectibles, books, maps, paintings and other objets de vertu. I can only appeal to you, and ask that, next time you post a review on TripAdvisor, you make the effort to ensure that the venue you're reviewing is genuinely the place that you've visited.
