Has a lot of character, average prices from what I can remember and very close to our hotel. Liked the history about the pub.

Good range of drinks served by great staff. Well priced and a happy vibe. Beautiful garden in summer. An old school pub, nice.

Nice laid out pub with lovely staff and beautiful garden. One downfall is that they reserve tables outside so you are asked to move,

Very sad to see this nice little pub go so sadly downhill.used to have a lovely garden reasonable prices and friendly staff.
I asked for a fosters but they have moved on to a much more expensive brand of Italian larger.
We sat in the garden and what did we find, overgrown plants, full up ashtrays, fag butts all over the floor. What used to be a great little garden is now a scruffy wilderness. No thank you. Please get a grip and tidy the place up. Not going back to soon

We can't comment on the food as we didn't eat there but what a find! We spent two evenings which were brilliant there. Why? Quite simply..... The staff! What a wonderful team of young people. Laura, Ben and Tom. Chatty, attentive and great workers. A real asset.
The ambience was fantastic.
Low lighting and lots of candles took you back in time. The beer was excellent and the wine of good quality. The garden outside was a delightful surprise and pulled it all together.
If I could move this gorgeous pub nearer to my home, with its staff, I would be a regular and probably bankrupt!!! Laura you deserve to have a career in dancing if your dancing is anything like your service and personality! Ben you deserve a fabulous time at Uni, don't let anyone tell you you can't achieve - again your demeanour and personality will take you far. Tom, the country need Police Officers like you, your listening and retrieval skills are great. Start volunteering.
Have never done quite such a personal review but you three made four people laugh and thoroughly enjoy their evenings!

A real little hide away and revered by it,s discerning band of "locals" some of which aren't so local !! hail this to be the best pub in town. I don't think they are far wrong. The Beau Nash was my adopted local for the 5 months I was in town and I enjoyed my evenings chatting with the local people who made this Essex boy so warmly welcome. A big thanks to all the friendly staff and in particular to the motley crew at the end of the bar, you know who you are.

A real hidden gem but seek it out almost next to Royal Wells hotel.
We sat out again & had great food & fizz but beers good too. Garden area is perfect for warm eves & for dogs & is best in town by far.

We visited this pub on a Monday lunchtime and took advantage of the hidden gem of a garden and enjoyed the sunshine. We came back with a larger group in the evening and everyone enjoyed it and said it was the ideal local pub- not that we are locals!
We returned again on the Tuesday before we headed off for a wedding and again took advantage of the garden. Will definitely come back next time we are in Royal Tunbridge Wells.

Warm atmosphere, also the guests seems to be part of the scenography.
Large choose for drink, great beers, limited for food, but what I tried (burger) was delicious.
