This was an excellent guided walking tour of 75 minutes with a friendly and knowledgeable Green Badge Guide. For me, it was an indispensable introduction to the city - its history, the cathedral, the castle, contemporary life there and much more. Unbeatable value for money, I highly recommend it as a way of familiarising yourself with the city and discovering how else you might like to spend your time.

My husband and I always like to have a guided walking tour when visiting a new city. We contacted the tour via tripadviser before arriving and although regular walks were not happening Horace still agreed to meet us on our first morning.
Horace was a charming guide. He was passionate about the city, knowledgeable and entertaining. We saw and heard about events that we would never have known about or noticed on our own.
Thank you Horace.
This is a must to do when visiting this beautiful city. Definitely recommend doing this at the start of your visit as it gives you a great insight as well aa giving you ideas of what to see and do for the rest of your stay.

Took a tour with Horace and enjoyed every minute. Very informative throwing in the little details that you would definitely miss if you did the same route on your own. Would highly recommend taking the walking tour before visiting the Cathedral and Castle purely because the information gleaned on the walking tour will greatly enhance your visit to the other sites.
Great value and highly recommended.

A group of 9 met up for a weekend reunion.
We decided to do a walking tour so that we could learn more about the history of Lincoln.
Our guide, Horace took us on a very interesting, informative and amusing tour. Horace is very knowledgeable and tells the stories of Lincoln with enthusiasm and good humour.
We saw things we would never have seen without a guide.
The tour lasted around 1.5 hours and then gave us time to explore the cathedral and castle on our own.
At £5 per person, it is great value for money - well worth it.

Huge thanks to our guide Horace who in the face of escorting 15 middle aged men dressed in ridiculous costumes, undertook the tour with great fortitude and shared humour. We all enjoyed his interesting and informative tour through 2,000 years of Lincoln history and were impressed by the passion he has for his city.
I cannot recommend the tour highly enough, thank you again Horace

Our thanks to Horace who took us on a great walking tour around historical Lincoln. He kept the talk alive, gave us lots of interesting facts and as it was a boiling hot day, I appreciated him finding shady spots for us to stop a while whilst he talked! Well worth the money. Suzanne M

I booked a private tour with Brian for our family as we visited Lincoln for my mum's 70th birthday. Brian was a pleasure to deal with from my initial enquiry contact, through booking and on the tour itself. With a mixed aged group there was something for everyone and even the teenagers who thought they may not enjoy it came away pleased they had joined us on the tour. Brian was very knowledgeable, the tour was extremely informative but with some light-hearted humour. It was the perfect start to our visit to Lincoln and we would all highly recommend starting a visit to Lincoln with this tour

We had a very pleasant tour on the last morning of our stay in this beautiful city. Brian is really knowledgeable and clearly passionate about his town. His enjoyment was infectious. This is a pretty gentle stroll so you can absorb the views and properly take in what's being explained at the same time. Make sure you bring some cash as cards are not taken when you pay. If you don't have any, not far from the starting point of the walk, there's an ATM, at the post office. This tour gives you a good introduction to Lincoln and would help you get your bearings, but at the end of our holiday, it was a super way of spotting tiny details we'd missed during the week.

Our tour of Lincoln was very enjoyable and informative. We learned a great deal about the history of the town dating back to Roman times, the castle, and the cathedral. I highly recommend this tour to all visitors. This tour was the best sightseeing value we found during our trip to the UK.

My husband and myself took a guided tour on Easter Saturday. We had the lovely and very knowledgeable Horace who walked us and a few others around the surrounding area of the cathedral and castle. Horace was full of very interesting facts and pointed out many things that you would never have noticed unless you were with the guide. Thank you Horace for an excellent time.

Do you run tours on weekdays in October? We are a family of 4 passing through and would love a tour (2 adults and 2 children). How much would it be as a private tour?
