A lovey little thatched cottage - not a lot more than a large hut but steeped in history. Incongruously the West Coast mainline runs at the bottom of the garden, so not a lot of chance to follow Walton's advice: Study to be quiet. Cottage was closed when we went but you could walk round the garden and savour the special atmosphere. A very small but very perfect place to see.

This is a small rural cottage steeped in hstory - a must for any fisherman with an interest but actually really interesting for everyone else. It is a quaint little cottage that is nestled in the countryside. There are three small rooms full of memorabilia and then some fantastic gardens. You could really imagine Walton still living there and could imagine his lifestyle.Great

This attraction is easy to find, really well sign posted, However there are selected opening hours so make sure it is actually open before going. The cottage and its surroundings bring to life the ambiance of the "compleat angler"

The cottage is small. If you are interested in seeing Izaak Waitons Cottage this can be viewed in 30- 40 mins. You can then go to other nearby attractions. This is not a full day out but is interesting.

Lovely little cottage near the mill restaurant, After we had a meal at the mill and decided to visit Izaak Walton cottage as it's not far, it was a beautiful little cottage run by local authority, friendly staff and adorable ice cream!

A tiny hidden gem, a beautiful peaceful location and a gorgeous cottage. There's a pretty garden and some benches to sit and soak up the peace and quiet. Very small car park but perfectly manageable in an average sized car.
The lady inside was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Only open on Sunday afternoons, but with free admission, the former home of the author of The Compleat Angler contains a small museum about fishing and will be of interest to anyone who enjoys the history of angling.

This is a 16 century cottage with the interior much as it was when Izaac lived there. There is a small car park next to the cottage, the cottage is open on Sundays in the summer 1.00pm - 5.00pm. No charge for entry. Herb garden at rear, also small museum and gift shop. Check website for more info. A must for anglers to visit.
