Great place to have a family walk around the lake & through the woods. Plenty of trails to follow but can get muddy in places. The wood carvings in the woods are a must see & very popular! Large free car park plus plenty of space for picnics. Well worth a visit for some fresh air & family time.

A beautiful park with some great wood sculptures. The sculptures can be hard to find as they aren’t detailed on the map. Lots of different walks.A lovely lake for feeding the ducks. On the downside there isn’t a play park.

Nice place to visit, nice walk around the lake. Plenty of parking and all free. A lovely little cafe. There are a few wooden carved animals near the cafe. A pleasant stroll on a sunny afternoon.

Great for country walks. Well worth a visit. Walks are signposted, each walk is colour coded according to difficulty and average time taken to complete the route. The countryside is beautiful. Nice little cafe by the farmhouse (next to car park) . Great for a cup of coffee and a cake.

We have lived in Swindon for over 33 years and this was our first visit to Stanton Park. The walk was quite pleasant although some parts are more overgrown than other country parks we have visited. Overall though quite a nice morning out and the free parking is a bonus.

This was truly a lovely park but the last few months there are large pipes and a generator pumping out the lake. The lakeside walk is closed off with barriers. On our visit today the natural path had been used for heavy machinery and was virtually impassable, muddy, uneven and flooded. There is a solid path but not near the lake. A broken wooden bridge and collapsed fishing stages show clear signs that this park has been left to deteriorate. It had a green flag award in 2008 showing excellent amenities and upkeep this certainly isn't true of the park today.
