Entertaining and educational. A must do experience in Rome. Friendly staff who guide you safely through the various exhibitions. Gives a very fine understanding of how Rome has looked and developed over time.

This is an outstanding experience! It provides a detailed history of Rome from the very beginning; however, bear in mind that with the exception of the first portion there is no opportunity to sit for this presentation which lasts approximately 25 minutes.

We went there on our first day in Rome to get annoyed about the city and it’s history. The displays and movies did a great job in explaining this - would highly recommend it.

It was so helpful to come here before exploring too much of Rome on our own. It gives such an insight as to what everything used to look like. It really helped us once we actually visited the Colosseum and the Forum. It is helpful and WELL done.

The Rome experience is a great way to get some visuals of Ancient Rome. It’s a brilliant set up prior to going to see all the historical attractions to have the imagines in your head and a bit of background knowledge. Staff was really friendly. The only thing that could of been improved was the toilets but apart from that, brilliant.

All travelers should visit this museum before visiting all historical areas in Rome because when you visit the ruins of historical places eg circus de Maximus, Palatine Hill, or the Collesium, this museum helps you visualize what all these ruins looked like before the destruction occurred.
I am not sure if you can take a video, but when I visited all the historical places I could see what it looked like at peak Roman time.
It will make a huge difference if you walk around Plalentine which is a huge area where one can place monuments at their original place and visualize after visiting the museum but let us say you went there without visiting the museum then you are just walking around and rely on written posted history
