Mattia is the perfect guide. Clearly loves what he does, very passionate about the food and knowledgeable on other city stories and tips, so had a bit of a bonus on the sights. The places we stopped at for food were great. Luckily it was just me and my husband so he adapted the first stop as not coffee drinkers. Tasted everything from pastries at the start. Mests, cheeses and balsamic. Homemade tortellini and tagliatelle. Pizza before finishing up with gelato. Very full by the end of the tour. Definitely recommend booking up this tour.

My colleagues and I took a half day tour with Riccardo to visit a parmigiano reggiano factory, a balsamic vinegar producer, a vineyard and lastly, we had a delicious meal at a local restaurant in the "countryside". We had our tour tailored as we are foodies and wanted the most out of our day. We loved every minute of our tour, Riccardo had great enthusiasm and we laughed and learned a lot the entire day.

Had an absolutely wonderful day with Riccardo on our Parmigiano and Balsamic Vinegar Experience. We felt more like we were spending the day with a friend rather than just a guide telling us about things. It was indeed a long day, but totally worth it to start early so that we could get to all the spots we were scheduled to see, and we liked that it was just a tour for us 2.
We especially loved the small winery we visited "Fedrizzi" and are looking forward to our case of wine to be delivered soon. :)

Great experience! we had an amazing time learning how to make bolognese pasta, tortellini, tortelloni and tagliatelle with a local chef.
Not only that, but then we ate all the three dishes in the most tradition way with local wine.
Incredible! would recommend it to anyone visiting the city!

Last week we did the pasta class where we learned how to make tortellini, tortellini and Tagliatelle. This class was perfect! We had the best time and the women who were teaching us were all so kind, fun and excellent at what they do! This was one our favorite parts of our vacation if not our most favorite part. We cannot wait to make tortellini for our friends and family! We highly recommend this class for anyone traveling to Bologna!! They are amazing!

Ricardo led us on an amazing daylong adventure that did not disappoint! And we didn't leave hungry! Each stop was unique and informative and most of all, fun! We got to tour cheese factory, visit a vinegar maker, and enjoy wines overlooking the hillside vineyard where the grapes were grown. Then we had a magnificent lunch. A fully enjoyable day!

Walking with Mattia around Bologna and the Food experience in the city. Coming from Rome and wornking in the food industry i was sceptic about a food tour in my own country, but after 4 hours i totally change my mind. Tnks to Mattia i discovered a lot of hidden secret about what is actually beyond a "tortellino" or a slice of "mortadella" (the queen of Bologna); and don't forget about wine.
A walk between food, wine, history and laugh!

Great deal

We were met by owner Mattia who gave us a great tour of the city with some food tasting along the way. He knows all the owners of the restaurants and pasta factory so you get a little background on those establishments as well. The food quantity is the right amount. You will still habt room for dinner later that evening if you want. We did this for my daughter’s birthday gift and she can’t stop talking about it. Definitely a must do activity.

I cannot say enough how special our food tour in Bologna was!!!!!
And this is why:
Fantastic stops.
Amazing commentary about Bologna landmarks.
Most importantly, Mattio was passionate not just about what we were eating but why it is important to the Bolognese culture.. i learned so much and will never look at a bottle of balsamic the same way!!!

We went with our two sons age 21 and 23

You must do this. A perfect way to connect with our kids- learn history together - drink some wine - and appreciate fine food
