Inner city of Verona has its own walls, this very powerful-looking structure, which only adds to the unique beauty of the city.

This is a museum that unfortunately with only 2 days in Verona I had to bypass. The outside is medievil style architecture . Even if you don't have time to go inside . It's definitely worth walking by.

you need 4 hours to view all of the artifacts within the museum. An excellent collection of art and sculptures.

These are very pretty Walls that go around the old centre of Verona and you can't really visit without seeing them but they're not worth a special visit.

Verona was endowed with an imposing defensive system characterized by walls, towers, fortified gates, castles and forts that can be found throughout the city, both in urban and suburban areas.

My visit to Verona took me from the train station up Viale dal Cero/Viale Galliano, which in large sections was opposite the Town Walls.
Yes, the history was interesting, but I couldn't help feeling that in comparison to a lot of Italian towns (e.g. Ferrara) the condition was quite dilapidated and no attempt had been made to integrate the walls into the living modern town. .

The ancient City Walls - the Mura Comunali di Verona - are of massive stone construction & surely must have protected the city in days of yore. Very impressive & still intact. Nice views.
