Il Museo del principato di Taranto attualmente situato nella nuova sede, all'interno di Palazzo Galeota in Via Duomo 234 a Taranto, offrono un tuffo nel periodo d'oro di Taranto.
Grazie alla coordinatrice e curatrice del museo, la Dott.ssa Linda Fania e gli associati tutti, portano ormai da diciotto anni la storia del Principato con manifestazioni, cortei ed serate totalmente in tema medioevale.
Visita graditissima, adatta a qualsiasi tipo di persona, merito anche dei soci volontari che sono sempre ben disposti a rispondere a qualsiasi domanda.
Che dire, un posto stupendo che merita uno spazio tra le attrazioni principali di Taranto.

Esempio di un impegno nato dalla passione di chi ama Taranto e la sua storia. Vi si trovano oggetti, simboli, vestiti ed altro del periodo medioevale della città. Da non perdere, il terzo sabato del mese di maggio, il ricco corteo in costume medievale che rievoca e arricchisce quanto tramandato da Crassullo sul Matrimonio di Maria d'Enghien con Ladislao di Durazzo. Da visitare.

Avere la pretesa di indicarlo come un MUSEO sembra un po' troppo. Di fatto sembra di essere all'interno della bottega di un rigattiere...
Sicuramente molto ma molto migliorabile.

В этом музее интересны не только сами исторические экспонаты, выставленные здесь, но и сами помещения, в которых они выставляются. Судя по всему, этому сооружению много веков.

Ho scoperto per caso il museo del Principato di Taranto, quando era stato da poco trasferito nella nuova sede, ad ottobre 2015. Insieme alla mia ragazza abbiamo fatto un giro con la curatrice del museo, una professoressa di liceo appassionata e molto gentile, con una notevole cultura nella storia medievale e rinascimentale della città di Taranto, poco conosciuta. I manufatti contenuti all'interno sono delle riproduzioni molto accurate di abiti e oggetti dell'epoca, che vengono utilizzati per la rievocazione storica, e disposti in un percorso logico che permette di capire alcune delle vicissitudini del tempo. È un'attrazione che consiglio insieme alla visita della cattedrale di San Cataldo, può piacere ai bambini e a tutti quelli che vogliono conoscere un personaggio storico come Maria d'Enghien, legata alla città di Taranto e alla sua storia.
