Unforgettable - A highlight of our trip!
2016. okt. • Családi
I booked for the dinner and show as I wanted to give my teenage daughters an accessible overview of the History of Florence. The dinner in via Toscanella was one of the best on our trip. Absolutely delicious and served with great care. The chocolate cherry tart was incredible! After dinner we went upstairs for the show. It was thoroughly entertaining from start to finish. I cannot remember laughing so much for a while. It was packed with song, visual surprise, energy and laughter. The cast were so passionate and really connected with the audience. We loved this show. It was an unforgettable experience!

Loved it!

I loved this show! Having already explored Florence for a few days before I saw this, I appreciated the different perspective on Florence's history. The show was funny and entertaining with different lights, music and projector images. The cast was fantastic from start to finish. There was lots of audience interaction and everyone was having a great time. The show was performed in a church, which was different and very cool. Overall, anyone who likes light hearted comedy and history should set aside 60 minutes and check it out.

Very Funny

This show is definitely worth watching and a complete contrast to the Renaissance Court Banquet that we also went to whilst in Florence. Start with the dinner. I am writing a different review of the restaurant, but it was good value with good service and the meal was flavourful. When the actors were ready, we went upstairs into a tiny theatre with seats for about 30 people. The show has three actors, who are all very good and we laughed the whole way through! Everyone in the family enjoyed it, aged from 13 to 62. The whole evening was a complete success.

The centre of Florence

My wife and I saw Florence (Firenze) while it was raining cats and dogs. That was a pity, because we missed a lot places of interest. But what we saw was magnificent. When you are in Tuscany, a visit to Florence is definitely recommended.

Don't miss this show!

If you're looking for an evening full of surprises, then this is the show for you. The staging is intimate and the cast is small which I felt made the experience even more enjoyable. Three talented actors gave excellent performances (including bursting into song every now and then and leaping about the stage) and had me laughing the whole way through!

I have no idea what I just watched

But it was hilarious. Staying in Florence for a few days and saw a flier for this. Didn't know what to expect but we laughed (and cringed slightly) all the way through. Paint brush duelling artists, musical renditions of tragic faecal floods and a healthy serving of historical pole dancing - what more could you want? PS. Dinner and show is good value (3 course and wine for an extra €17). Website says dinner starts at 6.30 but kitchen doesn't open until 7 so hold off an extra few mins.

Fantastic show, don't miss out!

A friend recommended us to the show, as we were only in Florence for a short time, having the history of Florence shown to us in 60 minutes seemed fitting. The show is filled with such insightful historical content all presented through clever jokes and exciting commentary, props and lighting perfectly timed with each act, you wouldn't have believed you were learning history for the past hour. It was very enjoyable to watch the characters blossom through the show, again, so surprising that it managed to happen in under 60 minutes (more or less), credit due to the very talented actors and actress. The writers/producers of the show have managed to produce a seamless show from the start to finish, flowing from one story to the other bridged by appropriate music and commentary, the time just flew by. We had the dinner (optional) with the show, restaurant right underneath the studio, which was very scrumptious and really offered a true Florentine experience. I'd wholeheartedly recommend people to catch this show whilst it is still running!

A Fun Evening
2015. okt. • Romantikus
We live in Florence half of the year and are always looking for things to do. We went to this show which can be done with or without a dinner before the show. We chose to have the dinner and it was very good, but with way too much food. Since we live in Florence, that was not a problem because we were offered take home boxes, something that is uncommon in Italy. After dinner, we went to the theater where a hilarious show followed the history of Florence from its beginning after the Romans conquered Fiesole, the Etruscan hillside town that overlooks what is now Florence, to the present day. The show is in English so it is easy to follow the skits depicting the history in a very humorous way. It is a very pleasant way to spend an evening, with or without the optional dinner.

Humour Italian Style (in english)
2015. okt. • Romantikus
This show really does tell the history of Florence (or part of it) in 60 minutes, with a humorous twist. The set is small and simple and on the night we attended there was an audience of 10. Cast members, of which there are 3, included an American, Italian and Canadian. If you like Monty Python style humour you will enjoy this show. We were enthralled, entranced and enlightened by the goings on of Florentines over the centuries. Right from the opening scene the acting - and dancing and singing - of the cast members was fautless. If you are in Florence and have a spare 60 minutes one evening this is something you should not miss! We included dinner at Osteria Toscanella which does a great pre or after show deal of 3 course meal and wine with tickets. A restaurant worth visiting for great food and hospitality.
