“The guide was very enthusiastic which is great, because having a boring guide is the worst. Also she was genuinely interested in her guests and wasn’t ashamed to ask us to repeat our names instead of pretending she remembered them. This made the experience all the more personable.
Rita interacted a lot with us, asking us about what we thought of Portugal for example, and she shared her personal stories, as well as the food habits of her Portuguese family, as she is native of Portugal. That’s exactly what you should expect from a Food Tour guide: getting immersed in the Portuguese culture thanks to her personal stories & fun facts.
Even though it was raining on that day, Rita kept her smile & good mood until the very end, when she selflessly took some time to share some recommendations of the must-see in Lisbon to whoever wanted them, as we were all standing on an off-the-beaten-paths terrace with a great view.
There was enough food & drinks to cover lunch & dinner, everything we ate was handmade, homemade, and/or unique.”
Is probably what you meant, right?
Smile and life smiles back at you, even under the rain ;-)

Ruthy
