About
Considered an oasis in the centre of Lisbon, this is one of the city’s best gardens and a favourite of its inhabitants. In 2023, the grounds will extend to 8. 000 m2 of green spaces as part of the landscape renovation of the Centro de Arte Moderna, designed by Vladimir Djurovic.

Dont expect too much. There is a tiny area that is nice to sit, the rest is surrounded by either an ugly building or car noise. The gras is completely full with duck sh*t, so it's even hard to sit there.
By far not the best park/garden I have seen but there are hardly any other options either.

We loved the gardens. A nice collection of works. Some of them very nice. Mr Gulbenkian had good taste in art

This garden was beautiful and the baby ducklings were especially cute. Everything is very well maintained.

The only thing I was less keen on is that I found it a bit hard to navigate around- partly because the buildings dominate the site. There is actually a lot of garden to find, but you have to weave around to get it.

I wouldn’t travel just for the gardens but I have to admit it was a pleasant green stroll on the way to the museum. Some nice fish and ducks in occupancy as well!

Looking from the museum exhibition rooms into the garden gives a phantastic atmosphere. To then walk from one exhibition to the next through the park is just so relaxing.

Coming from a small, overcrowded country, walking in this park was pure bliss. Unfortunately the museum was closed on a Tuesday unlike most other places that close on Monday. So check opening days and hours.
Although there's a notice saying tables shouldn't be hogged for studying and working in the cafe', it was difficult to find a table to eat outside. People with a bottle of water worked on their laptops for hours, women with a mere coffee just sat there reading for hours. I believe better observation of rules should be taken up.

Whilst I wouldn't go out of my way to visit these, if you are nearby or visiting the museum, then the gardens are beautifully serene and worth wandering around for 45 mins or so (longer if stopping at one of the cafes). Despite some sections being closed off when we visited, there are plenty of quiet paths which meander through the trees and lots of water features. Very pretty and surprisingly serene despite being on the flight path.

A very varied collection that is very well presented and gives the viewer space to explore the exhibits easily. The wait time in the garden cafe is less than the main restaurant and they do a reasonable fixed-price menu.

Nice stroll through a variety of trees shading nice seating areas. Under renovation but still worth a walk. Some art scattered around the park.

The museum has a great mix of artefacts from textiles, pottery, furniture and paintings the price was very reasonable if not cheap for what is provided. The museum is spotless and with a great cafe.
