I went there last night with my friends and my girlfriend, what an amazing place! Friendly staff (Ruben is such a lovely and friendly dude), nice food, nice drinks, average prices and amazing views from the pub itself towards the city/town. We enjoyed our night and we were well looked after by the staff. I never mentioned that they have cats all around the bar ;p

Located near one of Sintra’s most visited palaces (Regaleira) the pub is in a beautiful old property and it has great drinks, snacks, music and environment. Particularly good if you’re a fan of the whole celtic/medieval thing!
You’ll find people of all ‘tribes’ here (although mostly in the 30+ age range) and particularly on Friday and Saturdays nights, when they have live music, the place is packed! When they don’t have live music, you’ll probably be listening to something from the "Lord of the rings" soundtrack, Dubliners or medieval music.
They have cider, mead, beer, liqueurs and some wines – some are national, some are imported and some are of their own production. If you’ve had enough alcohol, you can also have a tea, hot chocolate, latte or espresso. They also have some snacks (several types of cheese with bread, olives, sandwiches and toasted sandwiches) besides scones and pies.
Price range is whithin the average for this kind of place. If you take your car bear in mind that parking space is very limited - so it's better to leave the car somewhere near and just walk there.

Medieval pub inside a former farm, next to a hostel. If you don't have car, it will be a small walk from the village to your destiny. Inside, it's cozy, waiters are awesome. Music includes live acts with specific groups, during the weekend. If you're lucky, or attentive to the agenda, you might get to see an curious artist with his harp one day! Also hosts several activities: afternoon conferences regarding interesting subjects and scheduled walks through hidden paths in the woods! Worth your time!

Followed the enticing signs half a mile downhill from the main road by Quinta da Regaleria to arrive at the front door and see that it doesn't open until 7pm on weekdays. Why not post the opening times with the first sign? Had to walk half a mile back uphill annoyed and thirsty.

The service lacks sympathy and joy, which doesn't allow us to perceive the magical atmosphere that was supposed to exist there.
O atendimento foi prestado sem simpatia e alegria o que impossibilitou sentir a magia que o lugar deveria ter.

We had a couple craft beers here after touring some palaces. They had a good selection of Portuguese craft beer, mostly in bottles. Inside and outside seating. Great view!

There were no recent reviews on TA so I was a bit hesitant. It is about a 5 minute walk from the exit area of Quinta Regaleira on a quiet road - a nice change from the weekend madness in city center. We were greeted quickly and brought English menus and chose 2 house made beers with a different flavor of mead added. Nice and refreshing touch. We ordered the meat/olives/bread and cheese plate and it was plenty for 2. Nothing special. My husband also had a glass of house red wine. With beers, wine and the snack plate the total was 16€. We did notice that as others came in there was no rush to take their orders and they had to get the servers’ attention. For a different feel away from the hoards it is worth the walk on a nice day.

I went with friends another day for q small drink and toast after the dinner time. Is not more than 15/20 minutes walk from the station if you don’t have car. The cocktails are really fantastic, principal de hot Rum. We asked for few small fry fruits and nuts with bread and toast. All of them fantastic. The music made us feeling a way of the city and be with the same environment as the name of the pub. You should try Hydro honey, fantastic! The staff were just a little bit awkward but friendly

Staff is clearly unhappy. A frown for a welcome upon arrival (after the locked door was opened begrudgingly for us), some decorations but not many, barely got service ( this is two visits, BTW ) and worst of all heavy metal was playing. Down the street you can get much better everything. All in all we felt like we were imposing being there and asking for food and beverages

I live around Sintra. It's a mistic place with many visitors, but not so many places to go and drink a beer. So, Casa do Fauno it's a place like Sintra deserves: it has a good homemade beer, hidromel (mead?) and, to taste it, you must park at the village and walk at the forest. I will return for the live music.
