Ok so this his day three of my hikes. I wanted a easy hike but still with great views.
I started by taking the the 5 laghi gondola. Once offi took trail 34 or 232 to lago Ritorto. Lots of cables on this route I guess to impress wish they would have use them on my tire laghi hike
From the lake you an continue on 232 up to the 5 laghi it looke d like about a 4 to 5 hour route back by lago Namibino. It is rated black but did not look that technical just a good hike up which I was not in too.
Inthen looked at route 278 but it was rated a EE and also looked up. I choose to take route 277 and 278d to a little farm called Malta valchestria. Below the farm back to the left is a trail that is not numbered but well marked that I took to Malaga Ritort This is a very long trail but extremely peaceful and easy. You will find lots of cows. They are friendly and easily walked by. At Malaga try the local beer and cheese at the farm pass on the city restaurant . From here you an take a little train to Patacross or walk. I walked and from Patacross you Alan take the ski run behind the restaurant into town. Roughly 9 miles all down hill 5 hours.

With a walk of 1 hour 15 minutes from malga Ritorto and a difference of level of 300 meters, one arrives at this peaceful lake.

i took the whole trail which covers 5 lakes and not one. it was a most beautiful trail above the tree line with great views of Madonna di Campiglio down and the Brenta chain across the valley. it is not a trail for beginner as there is a steep uphill on boulders at the beginning, as you come out of the cable car. but if you are in good shape, it is a really nice day hike. take a picnic.

We were a little afraid of the walk waiting for us , but the path was not difficult at all , and the beauty of the lake was rewarding

This was our 2nd visit to the lake - this time we came here as part of the 5-lake hike (a 6-7km hike which takes 3-6 hours depending on your fitness and speed). You can also visit the lake by taking a 20-minute walk (on a steep slope, but the walk is flat) from the top of the 5-Laghi gondola, or you can climb here from the Ritorto parking area/refuge.
The lake is fantastic - clear water, green slopes around it, breathtaking views across the valley - well worth the trip.

Lago Ritorto is reached via the Cinque Laghi lift, followed by a spectacular mountain edge walk on path #232 to the lake. You could return that way, or descend via Val do Conton/Contondi, etc.

We hiked up to the lake in late April, which turned out to be a great adventure. The challenge started on the road to the trailhead, which was still covered in some parts with snow and required careful driving. The trail itself had numerous patches of snow, mostly thin layers (although they still got our shoes soaked with freezing water), but upper on the mountain we had to cope with longer, steep stretches of knee-deep snow, as well as with some muddy areas. Despite the challenges the walk was fun, and the reward at the top was definitely worth it - the lake was still covered with ice and snow, and the view was just amazing. It took us about 2-2.5 hours to get to the lake, and just over an hour to descend back to the refuge. It was well worth the effort - this hike is highly recommended.
