Dedicata a Maria SS. Immacolata, è stata ultimata nel 1774, ricostruita a ridosso della precedente chiesa del XIV secolo distrutta dal terremoto del 1770. Di questa conserva il campanile a vela posto sul lato sinistro davanti alla cupola.
Risalgono al 1807 il rifacimento della elegante cupola ottagonale e la costruzione, posteriormente al presbiterio, dell'Oratorio del SS. Sacramento.
La imponente facciata barocca è scandita da due ordini sovrapposti di lesene con capitelli e domina corso Vittorio Emanuele: il portale di ingresso, infatti, si apre su di una grande scalinata in pietra calcarea.
L'interno è a navata unica con copertura a crociera delle volte, presenta tre piccole cappelle su entrambi i lati ed un grande presbiterio.
Gli affreschi sugli spicchi della cupola e sui quattro pennacchi, risalenti ai primi anni del '900,
riproducono schiere di angeli ed i quattro evangelisti.
Durante l'ultimo restauro sono venuti alla luce sul tamburo della cupola quattro affreschi della seconda metĂ  del '700 che raffigurano episodi della vita di San Francesco d'Assisi e di Sant'Antonio di Padova.
Interessante la pala d'altare della Madonna del Rosario, olio su tela di autore ignoto, nella seconda cappella a sinistra.
Un grave danno al patrimonio storico-architettonico di questa bella chiesa fu provocato dalla demolizione, negli anni successivi alla riforma liturgica, dell'antico altare rivolto ad oriente, realizzato ad intarsio con pregevoli marmi policromi.
