his is a must-visit place in Portugal. I fell in love with its pure beauty, powerful energy, and rich history, but visiting the place without a guide is nearly impossible due to the lack of public transport and poor informational signage. Fortunately, I had the pleasure of taking a guided tour with Natalia Portugalia Tours. I highly recommend this tour company.
P.S.: If you have more time, don't miss the opportunity to take a small hike to see the dinosaur footprints.

This was a spur of the moment drive on our last day in Portugal. We went to Seismbra but beach was full and no parking in town since it was the Portugal independence day. We glanced at Trip Advisor and saw this viewpoint was close by. It was absolutely beautiful with spring flowers on the hills leading to cliffs and ocean below. There are several paths around the area for nice hikes and different view points. There is a small Cafe with delicious pastries next to the historical church. One of the highlights of our trip!

Worth the drive. We booked a tour that took us here. The views are amazing, the history, small chapel, but worth it to see this.

Great views of the Atlantic Ocean and dramatic coastline. We also enjoyed seeing the church with two rows of bulidings for pilgrims to stay in. The lighthouse was beautiful (not many of that type in my neck of Maine). The tiny chapel is built on the site of a reputed Virgin Mary apparttion. There are even dinosaur footprints on the cliffside.

A big WHOA to this incredible glimpse into Portugal’s history. Pretty much untouched by us tourists makes me feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to visit this site before it gets spoiled. And on your way, stop by Leaves Cafe for ab organically deliciously healthy start to the day.

A great place for a walk with the family park by the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Cape Espichel -have a wander around the courtyard and footpaths -stunning views along the coast and out to sea -coffee and pasties are amazing at the cafe - then drive out the car park and take a quick right and drive up to the lighthouse- great walks around the lighthouse again with fantastic views - a good 2 hr walkabout

We parked near the church and found the place rather desolate. But we walked to the lighthouse and beyond that to the abandoned buildings and the views were breath-taking.

Indescribable feeling when standing there. Ordered a garroto coffee and went there solo sipping it while enjoying the view.

We had a nice outing where we enjoyed great views and had a nice stroll around. We’re not able to locate the dinosaur footprints, though.
