Edificato nel 1701 dal marchese Francesco Maria Dell'Antoglietta, divenne la nuova residenza fino al 1797, anno in cui fu ceduto alla famiglia Carducci Agustini di Taranto, che divennero gli ultimi feudatari di Fragagnano.
Costruito a pianta rettangolare con conci di carparo, presenta un maestoso portale bugnato con arco a tutto sesto che immette in un cortile trapezoidale da cui prendono luce gli ambienti superiori.
Al piano terra erano ubicati gli alloggiamenti degli stallieri, magazzinieri e le cucine; il piano nobile era formato da stanze dal tetto a capriate o con volte a crociera, ed una sala, detta la camera pittata, conteneva affreschi simili a quelli pompeiani.
Un incendio devastò il tetto nel 1920, consegnando il palazzo ad un inesorabile degrado che rese utilizzabili solo poche sale del piano terra. Nel tentativo di salvare il palazzo, la famiglia Carducci lo donò al Comune nel 1979.
Nel 2016, anche mediante l'accesso a finanziamenti pubblici, è stato completato il risanamento ed il restauro del piano terra e della sala sotterranea.

Bellissimo palazzo parzialmente ristrutturato. Situato al centro di Fragagnano e facilmente raggiungibile sia con i mezzi che a piedi

Questo monumento storico fa si che il paese non sradichi del tutto le proprie origini storiche. E' il cuore del paese, specie in periodo di feste e sagre varie.

Ridando fasto al monumento simbolo del paese, insieme al predecessore Palazzo Baronale.
Non va bene umiliare questi monumenti storici simbolo e storia del paese, a semplici uffici.
Come possono dal visitatore accedere a questi gloriosi monumenti ?
Passando dalla stanza dei Vigili urbani o uffici dell'anagrafe ?
Ridiamo il fasto e lustro che meritano e sgomberiamo da tutto ciò che é moderno.

È uno dei monumenti storici simbolo di Lizzano ma è totalmente abbandonato a sé stesso e degradato. Purtroppo tutto il paese di Lizzano non mi è sembrato molto ben curato, sebbene il centro storico sia stato parzialmente valorizzato recentemente.

Peccato sia abbandonato e non si possa visitare, sarebbe una bella attrazione per i turisti che passano in questo paese. Ho avuto la fortuna di assistere ad una celebrazione nella chiesa antica situata sul suo retro quella è veramente speciale ed unica nel suo genere, peccato sia poco valorizzata.

Peccato che questo Palazzo sia ormai abbandonato da anni. Sicuramente doveva essere molto bello, ma purtroppo per colpa dei proprietari è in questo stato!!!
