Neighborhood: Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

Friendly intimate venue with great music
Fabulous intimate venue in central easy to access/find location in Prague. Great atmosphere, great music and friendly staff. Really enjoyed my evening there, and as a solo traveller it felt very safe. Prague has a lively jazz scene and there's plenty to choose from but definitely recommend here.

Great time, fab music and atmosphere
We went to this music club twice whilst in Prague for 5 days. Saw rhythm desperadoes one night and two of that band performing with other musicians the second time. Ace professional and dynamic musicians, lovely atmosphere and reasonably priced drinks. Booked for one of these nights so had a table reserved and the second time just walked in but sat near the back.

    My happy place!
Love this place. This is about my 5th time at the jazz club. Love it. I travel to Prague with business and I always make sure to squeeze a night in here! If you want to forget about reality and immerse yourself in jazz, then this is the place for you. It’s also so cheap compared to the UK. About 10 GBP a ticket and a bottle of wine will cost you the same! Highly recommended !

    Great night out
This is the Jazz Club that you imagine. Underground in a vaulted cellar with an intimate atmosphere that will fit about 40 to 50 people. Great staff. Great drink. Tasty snacks. We saw "Hot Line" who were simply outstanding.

AghaRTHA is one of my favorite jazz clubs in Prague. There aren't any bad seats as it is rather small and intimate. It constantly has excellent groups performing. It is a non-smoking venue. Tickets are reasonably priced and can be ordered on-line. However, if you are ordering with a Visa card, be prepared to call their 800 number in the USA if you participate in "verified by Visa." AghaRTHA sells a variety of drinks and a few snacks. It does not serve dinner. Normally, there are three sets; not two. I highly recommend this venue.

After dinner, we went with our ibternational colleagues inside this nice Jazz Club underground.
We paid 12 EUR each for entry for the musicians, which is definetely fair!
We had a great time in here!

We stumbled across this bar by accident and after reading such good reviews on trip advisor we decided to give it a go. It didn’t disappoint! Very friendly staff and great jazz. We went on a Monday night so there wasn’t many people which was a shame but it was still a great night. The drinks were very cheap.
Only think I would say is that I’d have like to seen a Saxophonist as part of the band, maybe on some nights they do have one. Overall a great little place to end our holiday.

Very nice atmosphere, relaxed and respectful to both audience and musicians. Cosy, good sound. Drinks only, that, to my mind, is a good choice if you want to listen to the music. Tickets at the door or online. Can definitely recommend.

This is a small, intimate jazz club where you can enjoy a drink, snacks and listen to high quality music. What a great evening in Prague!

The music sounded amazing in this small jazz club, there were no seats available so asked if we could wait at the bar until something came available, the member of staff who spoke to us would not allow this and was unnecessarily rude. Plenty other options in Prague just as good without the rude staff.

We are not a big jazz fans.
We went just for the experiment because the place had very good reviews.
the place is very cosy and the agharta band is probably very good (not a jazz fan so i cannot really judge).
however for us, not a great jazz lovers, it became boring after a while.

We chose this venue by chance and enjoyed what turned out to be our favourite experience in Prague. We didn't have reservations, but would recommend it as the venue is quite small - an atmospheric cave-like basement. We arrived early enough to get seats for the best jazzman in the Czech Republic - Jiri Stivin and his jazz quartet. We were only planning on one or two sets but stayed until the very end of their most excellent show. This is definitely the place to go for jazz. If we're ever back in Prague, we will be at the Agharta!
