Just got back from a 2 week holiday in Sharm and decided I would try something a little different than the usual sit on the beach, dive, snorkel, etc.

I contacted Claus before I left for Egypt and asked about cycling trip. Excellent Communication via email.

Took a half day ride into the Nabq reserve an absolutely fantastic place. The route we took was along the coast, no more than 150 metres from the sea at anytime. Claus is a very experienced and knowledgeable guide. The wildlife and sights on the banks of the Gulf of Aqaba ars truly amazing from the large saltwater mangroves to the ospreys catching fish, Bedouin camps and the colours of the sea are some of the things I won’t forget in a hurry, these aren’t things you see staying in a hotel or from a taxi or a coach window!

You cycle at a pace that is comfortable for you, stop, rest and take photos when you want to.

My thanks to Claus for an excellent guided tour, next year hoping to do another tour with Black Jack Bike, definately recommended.

We had a great time on trip through the Nabq national park. Claus was really accommodating as one of us was ill during the trip. His local knowledge was great, the trip takes you along desert tracks to a deserted beach from where you can see a shipwreck then on to a Bedouin village in which you really get to see the genuine side of Bedouin life. Thanks Claus!

My husband booked this trip as a surprise birthday present for me! And what a fantastic one it was!! Klaus was great and Hemdan, his support driver, as well. We had plenty of water, tea and freshly made Bedouin bread, the bikes were great and although we were out for a good few hours I really could have done it all again at the end of the trip! A superb way to appreciate Nabq; the peace of the desert, the flora and fauna ... really can't praise it enough ... and I want to go again ... NOW!!! :-)

The trip as a whole was amazing. As it was all a flat service but a bit bumby at times, (but what do you expect from a desert!) you did not notice the amount of cycling you were really doing. The bikes were very high quality and so were the helmets.
It was comforting knowing if we needed to stop at any time for water (Lots supplied for you), photos or just a rest we could, the guide went at the pace WE wanted to go and the car travelling with us could always carry you the rest of the way if need be!
The views were truely beautiful. Like something out of a film! As the trip is one of a kind the views are rarely seen by people, which is a shame but it means there isnt many people around making it all the better
The guide was Excellent! Answered anything we asked in brilliant English and added and commented on anything he thought would be interesting to know.

A highly recommended trip!

Just returned from a two week holiday in Sharm, prior to leaving I had found Blackjack and read reviews on here so booked a solo ride.
Communication with Claus via email was great and I was collected from hotel as arranged.
Riding in the Nabq park wAs a completely new biking experience for me, great scenery and Claus is extremely easy to get on with and gives interesting commentary along the way. The route was tailored to my ability and request and was a challenging and memorable day, ticking all the boxes.
Thanks Claus.

Contacted Claus before travelling to after a recommendation from a fellow bike club member. Asked Claus to arrange a 'challenging' ride.

Claus arranged for a taxi to pick me up from my hotel and take me to his base at Nabq. I'd asked before to use SPD pedals and Claus had the bike setup upon arrival.

Myself and a fellow rider were then briefed by Claus as to the afternoon riding we'd undertake. Pointing to the mountains in the distance he informed us we'd be riding up and through them and back to the coast.

Challenging the ride was! I consider myself quite an accomplished rider though no longer and MTB rider but the going was hard. Deep sand in parts and a fierce headwind really made the going tough. What made this easier was Claus's superb knowledge of the area and the stunning scenery.

Eventually we reached a Bedouin village where we took a break and sampled Claus's wife excellent baking skills! Worth going on a trip just for the cake. Claus filled us in on the history of the area. It was a real eye opener for myself seeing the village and how the Bedouin's live.

We then started the long climb into the mountains but at least a change of direction meant the wind was now behind. After a few mile we reached the top and began the long descent back to the coast. Again the scenery was just stunning.

Unfortunately the strong wind was whipping up a sandstorm so we had to end the ride early.

I had really enjoyed the ride and it was all down to Claus. Superb route planning, excellent bike, a great guide and of course beautiful cake!

Whatever type of bike rider you are I'd cannot recommend a ride with Claus enough. He'll show you a complete different side to Sharm I'm sure you love.

A great opportunity to go where tourists would not get the chance to go. A must !

Claus the guide equips you with a very good quality mountain bike and takes you through the desert, to the mangroves, to a shipwreck and also into a real bedouin villiage - not the staged fake one's like you go to on a normal excursion, this is where the real bedouin live.

The mangroves and beaches you will ride out to absolutely blew my mind, so picturesque ! you are given plenty of time to explore and to take photos, and Claus is always on hand to explain the history and scenery as you ride along.

You don't have to be a particularly high standard of biker, but as long as you have a bit of stamina in the heat and drink the water you'll be fine.

I did this trip once when holidaying in Sharm with my girlfirend and I'm definitley going back next time i'm around. 10 out of 10.

Fully enjoyed the ride and tour. Learned more than on any other excursion. My wife isn't a cyclist, so we went at a leisure pace, meaning she could cycle the whole excursion without riding in the support car. The guide really knew his information, and we got to stop on regular occasions to look at desert life (including tasting the salty Mangrove plant), Bedouin villages, scenery (as it follows the contour of the sea), and for re-hydration breaks.
Very professional and well worth doing. This and Diving the Thisslegorm wreck were the highlights of the holiday. We were lucky as the day had a nice gentle breeze so didn't get too hot (probably due to being so close to the sea)

REally great morning cycle tour with Rob. Being a tarmac cyclist, the rising was hard on the sand, but worth the effort as the views were amazing in the desert and it was a real "authentic" Sinai experience unlike some other activities. Rob was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Big thanks!
