This place has the best memories for me. If you visit this place at night when they turn on the lights the atmosphere is just amazing and if you visit it during the day with the traditional music playing in the background, for me its always a spiritual experience so even if you are not a fan of poetry I recommend you visit this place and enjoy the peaceful environment. I don't like it when it's crowded because I go there mostly for the peace but always better to visit than not to!

Hafiz tomb was the most spiritual and interesting place i visited In Iran with "MY IRAN TOUR'. Ali was reciting a poetry of Hafiz by his heart in Farsi and English and I was almost crying. Carl and I enjoyed a lot that night. John Doorman.

Hafez Tomb is magnificent for its construction, the beautiful persian garden stile garden surround, specially and a full moon night. We went there by evening and it was really crowded, a bit noisy crowd full of self stickers. still the place really worth visiting and the full moon view was just spectacular!

If you’re looking for a nice place to relax this is an almost magical spot. It is crowded but the people who are going there aren’t your typical noisy tourist types. So it’s quite quiet and peaceful. The gardens are well kept and it is a beautiful compound. There’s a couple cafes inside as well.

Hafez may be the greatest Persian poet.
Hafez was living on fourteenth century and his new tomb has been built by first king of Pahlavi dynasties.
It's one of most attractive tourist attractions of Shiraz.

It could be the first destination for many people who are traveling to Shiraz...lovers ,couples, old, young, educated and noneducated ,ordinary people......all of them love Hafez ,one of the most important and popular poet of Iran who lived more than 600 years ago. Iranians used to presage with his poems in many occasions.
You can sit in his tomb area, relax, listen to Maestro Shajarian (the most famous contemporary traditional singer in Iran) .

Your visit to Shiraz is certainly incomplete if you don't visit Hafeziyeh, the tomb of the legendary classic Persian poet, Hafez. The place is very popular with locals who find the essence of life in Hafez's poetry. There is always light classical Persian music in the background, which creates a very calm atmosphere, ideal for romantic walks or self reflective moments.
There are a number of souvenir shops in the complex where you cana get some Persian gifts to remember your visit to Shiraz.

So what did you expect when you went there? Not sure maybe you don't know about Hafez. I think the place is stunning and certainly revered by the Iranians.

Is Iran safe now?

Yes, Iran is safe. I was travelling alone across the country and being a woman I had no problems walking in the streets late evening or going out for dinner. The only danger for me was traffic as there are different rules crossing the streets and I didn't feel comfortable doing it in the dark
