We had a great time on the Ile de Noirmoutier!!
To experience the island by bicycle is an absolute must!
Beautiful little villages, sleepy or lively, each of them special in their own way!
Absolutely loved it! I would go back in a flash!!

The most beautiful little cove with crystal clear water, well worth a trip there. Nice hotel with eatery and ice cream parlour too.

We enjoyed the laid back feel of this beach. It is buzzing with activity in the peak of summer but not with fields of umbrellas for rent or beach vendors. The sandy beach is shallow for a good distance, which is great for young ones. Not many shady places in the beach so bring your own umbrella if needed! Only drawback is that there is a some seaweed in the water and in the beach, but not so much that it is unpleasant.

Been here numerous times..low season..high season...and may consider a winter visit..need to check out the apts above the beachside restaurants!!..Always a lovely atmosphere..was buzzing last week..but we still had an amazing lunch..and the obligatory beach siesta!..the pier, the beach huts...the magnificent houses and the maze of roads behind...love..love..love it!

We found this beach during a recent holiday in the area. Its a hidden gem.
The beach is down some steep steps and not suited to wheelchairs or pushchairs, so you need to be mindful if you have young kids or older people with you.
The beach itself is a sheltered cove with soft sand with little huts owned by locals along the top of the beach. It was very relaxed and the kids had a great day here. It was quiet when we arrived around 11am but filled up by the time we left around 4pm.
There is no life guard and no shops nearby so bring a picnic. There was a portaloo up at the road.

And what a find! Little gem! Most stunning scenery, small bay, white sandy beach, small changing huts around the edge, lovely ice cream shops and couple of restaurants. Not built up as it’s on edge of park, so tree lined. Jetty jutting out into the sea. There are kayaks to rent and other water sports, but we were happy to spend time on the beach with dips into the sea when too hot. Kids loved it and we couldn’t get them away. Shame we only found on last day, would’ve gone back every day of our stay if we knew!

This is a very pretty beach, with small wooden beach huts, and a raised and curving promenade, backed by a pine forest (Bois de la Chaize). Regular benches available for rests, and is wheelchair accessible. (Beach access and crossing to nearby beach to SouthEast, would pose a problem for wheelchairs, but promenade & cafe was definitely ok.)
There is a nice clutch of cafes, restaurant & shops, with plenty of comfortable outdoor seating to enjoy the view and take a break from the sun under one of the parasols.
One of the buildings seemed to be adding a very substantial deck area on the roof of the restaurant / cafe, which should make for a nice breezy relaxing area with stunning views, when it is finished.

This is a beautiful beach - a gently curving bay, quite sheltered, backed by old fashioned beach huts, a couple of. Ice restaurants along the little wooden promenade and the green of the Bois de la Chaise. Good safe swimming, walk along the old wooden pier and watch the fishing / diving off the end, a small sailing school providing boating interest. All very relaxed and family - no sunbeds or brollies here, just happy families mucking about on the beach.

We've been visiting the area for a number of years and have always meant to find this beach, as its on loads of postcards etc,?
We weren't disappointed, the sand is golden, the beach huts white, there forest paths directly behind the beach and cafe and coffee shops on the road in,
Beautiful place for a stroll or picnic, it obviously gets busy in summer but on a drizzly March afternoon it was still great

Pourquoi n'acceptez vous pas les chiens bien plus propres que les humains vu que je ramasse les crottes éventuels ? 🤪
