We struggled to find somewhere to park as the gravel car park which is opposite the play park entrance was full, some kind people suggested we try over the other side of the park opposite some playing fields. We managed to find a space on the kerbside as opposed to a car park.
Unfortunately this seems to be the trolley dash entrance for Dog Walkers, I have never seen so many people piling in through one gateway taking dogs of all sizes loose of their leads.
We managed to get through and I asked one why all the dogs were being let off their leads. The answer " where do you expect to excercise em luv" errm well not in a public park that has young children and toddlers walking with their parents, riding cycles, the disabled in wheelchairs and the elderley out for a general stroll.
I witnessed dogs defecating on the walkway over the bridge by the cafe area, Not cleaned up I hasten to add. Another bounding down the walkway to the clock entrance and a child crying running away presumably because the dog wouldn't stop chasing her, the dog obviously thought the child was playing, to the pathetic shouts of " he won't bite, he's only playing"!!! and another walker duo that thought it was hilarious to watch their dog scampering after the ducks near to the waters edge down from the cafe.
On enquiring I believe that Cheshire East have an extremely poor attitude on imposing fines on their so called "all dogs must be on a lead near wildfowl" rule. Perhaps they could impose a ban on having dogs off leads all together to make it easier for themselves in such a beautiful park and think of the health and wellbeing of their visitors like neighbouring towns do. It also begs the question why if the owners don't care where the dogs run and defecate they don't use the fields across from the park and leave people to walk and play and enjoy their surroundings. Or better still just keep the dogs on a lead and respect other people.
It is such a shame as it beautifully landscaped, Canadian geese, squirrels, even a kingfisher! The lawns from the clock entrance are perfectly maintained with flower beds. Come on Cheshire East clean up your act!

We went here today as a general let’s see what’s out
and about as new to the area. The Park was beautiful so much to see and do. Sprawling perfectly maintained grounds, loads of wildlife a lake which was ready with pedalo’s the day was lovely and warm and we shared our first picnic together whilst taking in The beautiful scenery. Not many dogs either considering it was a beautiful day. Cafe on-site too plenty for kids to do. Can’t wait to go back.

We are so very lucky to have this wonderful park on our doorstep. It is a rare jewel these days and is a very precious place to those of us who visit on a daily basis. Amazing to have such a beautiful park in these modern times of local authority cut backs, well done Cheshire East

Visited with my 2 boys (7 & 9). Parking was free! We headed straight for the BMX track (Tipkinder Park - behind the car park) which was superb! Watch out for the first jump though if your chn aren’t use the BMX tracks - it’s a little steep and will cause bikes to ‘experience air time’ (and then gravel if they can’t control the bike afterwards 🤕). Little tip: the final half of the track is probably more suited to younger chn.
Afterwards, we headed back to the car park and across the road to Queen’s Park. It was so clean and although it was getting busy by then (almost midday), it was big enough to not feel crowded. The boys enjoyed the play park, a ride around the park and an ice cream. V clean. Reminded me of wandering through some of London’s parks - v well maintained, popular but spacious and had that ‘get away from the hustle and bustle’ feel. Bit of a faff to get there but we’ll worth it 👍🏼

I visited the park today with my 19 month old and we headed straight to the children’s play area. Lots of play equipment and apparatus for children of all ages. My daughter really enjoyed the sensory boards and wheels in the play area.
Grounds are lovely and spacious though I was disappointed to see so much dog foul around the park which really lets it down.
We had a lovely walk near the lake and appreciated having a sit down on the many benches with a pretty lake view.
Lovely to see families dotted around enjoying a picnic in the sunshine.
A lovely park just shame about the dog foul.

As a middle-aged lady, I can recommend this as another happy place to visit alone. Its safe and calming with cheerful people, squirrels and ducks around the place. Sit on a bench and watch the World go by at the lake or stroll around the well maintained grounds on the circular paths. Stop to have a drink on the veranda in the sunshine. I take my sketchbook and draw.

Have lived in Sandbach for 3 years but always tended to frequent the same places: decided to visit Queens Park for a change with my 2 year old daughter and absolutely loved it! Lots of things to do for a variety of ages, different areas to explore and a lovely lake with ducks to feed (a must for my daughter!). All really nicely kept, not too busy and nice and spacious. Will be returning in the near future.

Beautiful park, Shame people do not respect social distancing! Lots of beautiful flowers, squirrels, trees, a pond, birds. But people come too close to you, do not wear masks. Totally suicidal and dangerous. Plus teenagersè behaviour was anti-sociala trying to run over squirrels and cycling close to people unchecked.

I go to this park regularly as it is my local. It is vast, clean with lots of trees, plants, ducks and squirrels, and a nice café. However, my one criticism is how close the benches are to the paths. This makes people who walk nearly bump into you and I have several close-calls when people rudely nearly stepped on my toes of tripped over my legs that were sticking out on the path a bit, and I am not that tall! And people can be so rude and walk so close to people sat on benches, yet the aisles are very wide and there is no need for such behaviour. I saw whole families walking and taking the whole width of the path because they wanted to walk beside each other, leaving no space for people walking in the opposite direction. My view is that the benches should all be moved back 1 meter to avoid such unpleasant experiences.

This park is beautiful I’m lucky to have it on my doorstep. I Visit regularly to see the ducks, swans and just to have a nice stroll admiring the scenery. There is a huge lake with the hiring of boats, play area for kids, a bowling green and a lovely cafe too. Worth a visit.
