- susang28572019Wednesbury, United Kingdom32 contributionsCraft centre with parkingReally worth a stop here, a few craft shops along with chocolate factory, where you can also view the chocolates being made. A cafe, toilets and also a Llama farm a short walk through pathway. Also a path to coast if you feel like walking on further, a few stone styles to climb over on the way.Visited May 2023Traveled with familyWritten June 3, 2023

A little bit pricy but so worth it and you can watch the chocolate being made. - BinnsieBognor Regis, United Kingdom101 contributionsCafe the bestGood selection of craft businesses, nice to be able to talk to those making things. Chocolate factory small don't expect warehouse but chocolate I bought was extremely tasty. Cafe a hidden gem great selection all fresh and really clean.Visited June 2023Written August 16, 2023
- KJS001Worcestershire, United Kingdom388 contributionsMore than just chocolate.Well worth a visit for the obvious chocolate, but it was a nice surprise to find other shops and crafts, and a really lovely cafe where we had lunch and one of the nicest coffees we've had in a long time. We looked around a lovely glass shop where you could book to create your own items, but unfortunately we didnt have time to fit it in. There was just one niggle in one of the shops which sold mystical 'witchy' nicknacks, pebbles/crystals and general touristy bits you get in holiday resorts. My son searched through boxes of stones priced at £1 and £2 each, but when he finally settled on 2 items and went to pay, he was charged £6. At 9, he didn't argue, but I really don't like these kind of sales, especially when it is children spending their pocket money. A couple of £'s added on here and there might work for the shop owner, but it is so unfair for the customer, especially when they're children.Visited August 2023Traveled with familyWritten August 21, 2023
- Rachey13Sheffield, United Kingdom181 contributionsBeautifully made chocolate 🍫We kept seeing the signpost for this near our caravan site, so on a wet rainy day, we decided to check it out. There isn't just a little chocolate factory. There is a cafe and other little shops to explore. We watched them make some of the chocolate and had a look round the shop and purchased some chocolates, my fave was a praline one. We popped into the cafe and ordered some yummy cakes and got free little chocolates. It's definitely worth a visitVisited August 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 3, 2023
- acs1984Cockermouth, United Kingdom1,649 contributionsChocolateWe came here whilst holidaying in the area. There was some chocolate being made whilst we were there so we got to watch that which was good. The viewing area is very small. They sell chocolates in the shop in all different shapes and sizes, all reasonably priced. The milk chocolate is lovely. There are a few other craft and gift shops. There is free parking. We had lunch in the cafe which was nice. You couldn't spend more than an hour or so here as it isn't a big place. There is a footpath which leads to Mullion Cove so we decided to walk there too.Visited June 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 29, 2023

We visit Cornwall every year and this place is a stop off each time. The chocolate is tasty, it’s nice to see it being made and there’s normally a wide range of choice for purchases which makes it different to just getting chocolate at the supermarket.
Sadly since covid this appears to have changed. I get that the staff are being careful, but those from outside Cornwall will find the rules are similar to what we had elsewhere a year ago. You’re still required to wear masks here and you can’t view chocolate being made as that area is shut off.
The biggest issue is the lack of choice. Gone are the ranges of single specialist chocolates that you could select from behind a glass screen - the best bit! Now there’s a very small selection of maybe 10 varieties of bagged up chocolate on the shelves - letters, hearts, buttons, dinosaurs etc. but none of the old favourites that this place used to make.
It was a real disappointment and means the chocolate here isn’t any different to picking up a block of chocolate at the local supermarket where it’s actually cheaper. It’s no longer a specialist chocolate shop.
Perhaps worth saving your money and going to the other shops instead. It’s a shame. Used to be a great little shop.

The café food and drink/ cakes on offer are fab and the staff were lovely. A lot of the little shops were okay but things were dusty, and freezing cold, and there seemed to be no one about. Chocolate was delicious but the ‘factory’ part is just a machine through a window.
We also booked into the glass workshop to do a glass fusing session. Unfortunately this wasn’t very good. The lady running it wasn’t very forthcoming with showing us what to do and how to do it. She didn’t share any knowledge or ideas with us, and didn’t help at all unless we went over to ask her. The glass shop was still open too so she was serving the odd customer or 2. It was a very cold winter day and the door was wide open the whole time. For the price we paid for this private glass workshop a refreshment & guidance would have been nice. Wouldn’t recommend it at all and won’t be returning.

Beware when using the cafe, if you are happy to have vegan cakes that’s fine. We were not told until I took back the slice that it was odd tasting due to it being vegan.
I’m fact when I went in to say I thought the cake was off.....the girl said it was just because it was an awful cake.....,made me laugh but just question before buying!!

Visited to see the chocolate factory. It’s good but a bit small. Lots of other craft shops and galleries here as well. Free parking and you can walk to Mullion cove which is only a short distance away.

We came here mainly to watch the chocolates being made. There are a few other shops but I don’t think you could spend more than a few hours here. Luckily when we were here they were making chocolate and there is a viewing section where you can watch through the glass. I bought some of the chocolate I the shop and I didn’t think it would be anything special, but it was really nice - I wish I’d bought more! There is plenty of free parking available. We also stopped here for lunch. The food was nice and the prices were reasonable.

How disappointing this was. If you’re expecting Willy Wonka or even a chocolate maker or two think again. No making in view. Just overpriced chocolates and a few craft shops. Even the gallery was pretty unimpressive. A waste of your petrol. And if you have kids expect them to be very sad faced…

We weren’t entirely sure what to expect and maybe were expecting more from the title of “factory” than what is provided here. The factory consists of a room where chocolate is melted and put into moulds. That’s it! Please do not go thinking you’re going to see a much reduced Cadbury world! The chocolate on the whole is nice but extremely overpriced.
The other shops and outlets are quaint and nice, but it’s not what makes you go to visit.
They also have a Llama paddock. It is a beautiful area to visit but it’s not what we thought from the title.
