Went in for our obligatory fridge magnet. Have a Lytham lightboat one but they had no magnets with Trearddur Bay, let alone Wales on. Gutted. Like to support the RNLI. (We did stick some quids in collection box)

We stopped here on our way around The Island of Anglesey, what a fabulous building in a wonderful location - made even more amazing on such a windy day.

Great building opened by Duke & Duchess of Cambridge. Great place to visit with the children. Shop is a must, to support this worthy cause.

Friendly welcoming chatty people. Lots of useful gifts to buy for family and great Christmas cards. Interesting and worthwhile. Pick up some free mini jam jars to collect your 5 ps and get the kids started too. Bought lots of lovely bits and pieces here and enjoyed hearing about the lifeboat. You can see the lifeboat and it is all in such a great setting.

Hubby and I were driving along the West coast of Holy Island on a recent Sunday afternoon when we decided to take a pit stop in Trearddur Bay. We parked on the short stay car park (£1 for 1 hour) next to The Black Seal Pub. We walked up the short path to the main sandy beach where we strolled along The Promenade. I liked the bright blue painted railings.

Then we went inside the RNLI gift shop where we were greeted by 2 friendly lady volunteers. Hubby purchased a badge for his collection and an aerial topper for the car. He was able to pay using his card (contactless). The shop has flexible opening hours as it relies on the availablity of staff volunteers. It is usually open Saturdays and Sundays between 11 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. (ish). It opens on weekdays during the school summer holidays.

The RNLI has had a base here since 1967. It has 2 inshore inflatable lifeboats. We had just missed their Sunday morning training session which was a shame as we would have liked to have met these heroes and heroines of the sea.

We then carried on walking along the coast road (passed the long-stay car park) until we reached a craggy cove where we saw the "haunted house" on the headland. It is called Craig-y-Mor. It is a Grade 2 listed private house with servants' quarters built in the early 1900's for a wealthy Englishman. It was used to film scenes for the ITV drama series "Safe House" (series 2) and looks very spooky!

Who can say anything bad about the RNLI. These folk are the bravest of the brave and fully deserve every ones support, The do managed to raise funds via sale of many items all reasonably priced, my grandson has a new teddy to cuddle

Fantastic creepy looking place. Easy to drive to and can park next to it. You can rent it out for filming. Brilliant views and nice coastal walk with a stone beach.

Nice little lifeboat station gift shop. Plenty of trinkets to buy. Staff welcoming.

While we were there looking round the shop there was an educational talk happening with a group on the lifeboat.

Very handy stand of water safety leaflets and guides easily accessible and informative.
