We visited this museum, so we could learn more about the history of Alberobello. The museum is definitely worth a visit: The museum shows what life was like in the 1800s, complete with antique furniture. It's interesting

Started well with a well-furnished bedroom but then petered out of furnishings so it left a little to the imagination. Note it opens 1530 not the advertised 4pm on Tripadvisor. Entry was €2 per person.

What makes trulli so cute is their peculiar, picturesque shape, their construction thecnique, and the story behind them, of witty, resourcefull villagers outsmarting ever hated tax collectors.
Getting inside this trullo, the biggest of them all, adds nothing to the experience. Seen from inside, this trullo is just a middle-class century old house, with furniture you could find in a vintage B&B or a grandparent farm.

It's 2 Euro to enter, but well worth it, This is a magnificent trullo, and very informative of the whole trullo aesthetic. Don't forget to get a coffee and pastry next door at Dulcis!

This is the largest trulli in Alberobello and an example of what UNESCO describes for this World Heritage Site as “remarkable examples of drywall (mortarless) construction, a prehistoric building technique still in use in this region. The trulli are made of roughly worked limestone boulders collected from neighbouring fields. Characteristically, they feature pyramidal, domed or conical roofs built up of corbelled limestone slabs.”
Trulli Sovrano is really a museum with original furnishings from the 19th century. It is housed on two floors with artifacts and historical pieces providing a glimpse of life during this period. There has been definite care in how these pieces have been put together. You can just imagine how people lived - cooked, cleaned, stored food and water and went about their business...

Visited this trullo, which has a small admission fee, the biggest in Alberobello You can see how it was originally furnished, with many artefacts and learn about life in the trullo. It is the only one which has two liveable floors. Interesting and worth the visit.

Decided to drop in on Alberobello on route home to Matera from Polignano a Mare, with about 2h of time we walked through the center of town, through the Monti District and visited the Church of Saint Anthony of Padua and the Trullo Sovrano. This charming little town puts a smile on your face and we soon realized a more in depth visit is needed.

A great exhibition of how farmers lived, collected water, stored grain, cooked food in a luxury sized trullo.

We visited this museum with our children, so we could learn more about the history of Trulli life Alberobello. The museum is definitely worth a visit - don’t be discouraged by the walk uphill in the heat (if you are visiting during the summer). The museum shows what life was like during the 1800’s, complete with antique furnishings. It is interesting for adults and children. The woman working at the museum was very friendly and helpful. There is also a good selection of books in the museum in Alberobello and on Puglia in general. This museum is definitely a must see in Alberobello!

The only two storey trulli is situated away from the main area of densely packed trulli buildings.
When we arrived in Alberobello we initially thought that this was kind of “it” until we walked further down the hillside & were met by the amazing sight of the actual trulli village....spectacular!
Do take your time to look at this little museum before you head off to the main area because it’s restored inside & gives you a good insight in to what life was like living in such a place.
In addition this part of Alberobello is less tacky, less of a tourist trap than the part closer to the main trulli village.

I will be traveling with my family and friends on an MSC Cruise this summer and I would love to have a private tour to see Alberobello. Our group is 22 adults and 5 children under 8 years old. We will be arriving at 1PM on Monday, July 27 and will have 3 and a half hours. Can you please email me a quote
