Documents go back to 977 of this parish church. Experts believe it is the oldest church in Besalu. Actual building is from XII Century after reconstruction.

This church is one of the spots I visited during my short visit to Besalu. It's a good example of the Romanesque architecture of many churches seen to in the region. Since most people only spend a few hours walking around this old city I would suggest you make Sant Vicenc one of your stops. It's interior is somewhat austere but still worth a look! Besalu in general is definitely an interesting stop and should be included in any visit to Catalonia's interior.

As an art lover, I suggest you to visit this church. You will provably find it closed, since it is only open in seldom occasions. If closed, you can watch the interior from the main entrance.

This building is really lovely and worth seeing. However, it would have been even better if you were able to see inside easily. Worth a look but without being able to see inside the history of this building is a little lost which is a little sad.
