About
The Mannocchi family’s winery was born and developed in 1960 in Montalto delle Marche, in the green heart of the province of Ascoli Piceno. Our grapes grow in the hills of the Marche region, pampered by the heat of the sun and refreshed by the caress of the wind. The fifty hectares of the farm, mostly cultivated with vineyards, are immersed in a particular high hill microclimate. The strong temperature range between night and day, the low humidity, the freshness of climate, the proximity of the sea and the mountainous areas influence the proper development of the vines, the growth of grapes of the highest quality and the aromatic, fruity and velvety bouquet of the resulting wine. The Piceno offers a climate favorable to the prosperity of the vine and breathtaking view for its visitors: olive groves, vineyards, orchards, and cultivated fields. This is where a fine wine with high quality standards is born, a combination of experience, nature and an environmentally friendly culture.

I would really recommend a visit here to taste the wines. We hadn’t booked and just turned up and they were so accommodating, we tried three different wines and they were all delicious, particularly the rossato. We ended up ordering 18 bottles to be shipped back to the UK.

The host of our appartement recommended us to go here for wine tasting. We went there on sunday (today) when they are closed. The owners arranged the tasting especially for us! We tasted some wines in "la cantina" and the owners provided us with delicious cold meet and cheese plates. We liked the wines and bought a couple of wines to take home. After that we walked through the farm with the owner, while he explained the wine making production process. We really liked it and think back when we drink the wine at home!

Booked a wine tasting one day before our visit. Had a wonderful experience with delicious wines and food, our kids got to play with the dog Argo and play in the yard while being served fries and cola. Couldn’t be more pleased and left with an order of 24 bottles to be shipped home to Sweden!

We stopped in for a tasting experience, and even though they had a private event going on they came and gave us personal attention and let us taste as much as we desired. When we arrived we weren't sure where to go or who to find (the private party was going on) when a college age daughter approached us and then proceeded to get her mother (owner) and helped us with her mother as the mother spoke little English. They even offered bread, stuffed fried olives (regional special), and French fries (for our 8 yr old). At they end they expected no payment for the food, but of course we paid them! All the wines were very good and everyone we tasted was from a freshly opened bottle. The hospitality was amazing! We took 2 bottles home, and would have taken more if our suitcases could have managed. An amazing value. If you are with kids and want to taste some wine in Le Marche go here. If you're not with kids go as well, you won't be disappointed.

Great wine that came with great food (Bread, cheese, ham...). Kids got french fries and could play outside. We also did a short tour through factory, liked it.

We arrived at 7pm (closing time), but we're greeted warmly and given a nice aperitivo and a wide taste selection of Piceno wines.

We departed with 4 bottles (a mere €32). Looks like a good place for groups of enthusiastic winos. Plus, the drive through the area is stunning.

Actually went here twice during our 5 week visit to the area. First time my husband and I. Very pleasant experience. Owners were very cordial even though they struggled knowing very little English. They arranged for one of their employees who knew English to be with us and explain the wines. Tiziana (one of the owners) prepared a large plate of cheeses, bread and meats for our tasting. We were able to sample all their wines at no charge.

Did purchase a case of wine and were given 2 additional bottles and corkscrew.

Brought our son for a tasting on his visit here and received the same treatment.

Lovely family business.

Not really a restaurant, but they do some lovely wines at very very realistic prices. Staff are always very attentive, and you can always ask for a small sample before comitting to a purchase.

We have taken many of our friends here to sample their excellent wines. We are always made to feel extremely welcome and experience great wines, very professionally presented and lots of nibbles to accompany the various wines.
