We were staying in Negril and the weather at the beach was horribly windy so our family of 6 visited Blue Hole Mineral Springs. 25-30 min drive from Negril beach. Jumping into the blue hole was thrilling. The shortest jump is probably about 7-8meters so might be scary for younger children. You are allowed to climb down the ladder if you are afraid to jump from the edge. Other sides of the hole offer higher spots to jump 9-10 meters. Finally you can climb a tree and jump from a platform about 12 meters.
The pool advertised was only 1/3 filled which was very disappointing. We did not swim in it as it clearly had no filtration.
Staff there were very friendly and helpful.
We ate lunch there and it was very good. We were able to relax in some warm sunshine on lawn chairs out of the wind.

Visited the green grotto caves as part of a shore excursion from our cruise ship. Our guide, Chedd, met us at the mouth of the caves and outfitted us with hard hats and a history lesson of the caves. This was one of the best shore excursions we enjoyed on our cruise. It is a long underground walk, underground lakes and local bats. The caves are exceptionally clean and mostly kept in their natural state. If you are visiting Jamaica, I highly recommend a visit to the caves, and request Chedd - an outstanding tour guide. Entrance fee is $20.

Joseph Cave Negril is a stunning natural wonder located in the heart of Negril, Jamaica. It offers a unique experience for nature lovers and adventure seekers. My overall impression of the cave is that it is a must-visit destination for anyone in the area.

Ver nice cave, you enter through a somewhat narrow crack in the coral to end up in this lower, larger cave. No panic , you can immediately see the large exit so also a suitable dive for the claustrophobic. The light in there is amazing the contrast between dark and light is just : 'wow'. The name of the place is really well chosen as it's such a majestic environment. Healthy coral wit h a lot of small fishes. All the big(ger) life has disappeared due to (illegal) fishing. We saw 4 basket traps during our dive there. Went there with Scuba Caribe. Not a great experience, they're really unfriendly and badly organised but they took us there which was all we really wanted

The cave is a good introduction to Cockpit Country. We drove a rented Toyota Corolla up winding, potholed mountain roads from Martha Brae to Usain Bolt's hometown of Sherwood Content. The final 5 km to Windsor was over a one-lane dirt road. From the road, a guide is required for the 1 km hike through the poorly marked trail to the cave. We hired the local guide, Dango. His office is a shack painted red at the end of the dirt road. He's a good conversationalist who also provides a great introduction to the local culture. He guided us through the jungle trail where mosquito repellent is recommended. We viewed stalactites and stalagmites in the cave mouth. Dango will take people deeper into the cave to view some of the 100,000 bats, but we didn't have time. The local scientific field station also offers an evening tour to view bats flying from the cave, dinner and lodging. If we had chosen this option, we would have wanted to stay overnight. I'm adventurous, but wouldn't want to drive those roads after dark. TripAdvisor would not allow me to include a link to the field station's website with detailed driving directions and information on the field station tour. You should be able to find the website by googling "Cockpit Country." A word of warning, don't follow the google maps directions to Windsor from Montego Bay unless you have a SUV capable of transversing rutted dirt roads.
