- Syrmone WOcala2 contributionsMike Tours is Amazing! Wilton picked us up from the airport right on time and had beverages waiting on us 😊. We also signed up for the Tour of Montego Bay and Wilton did a wonderful job showing us around. He showed us everything that there was to see. He even went out of his way to make sure I got the dessert I was wanting after enjoying a wonderful lunch at Peppas! Dwight transported us to the airport on our last day and he was very kind and respectful as well. I look forward to booking with Mike Tours again!Written February 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Nick PMaidstone, United Kingdom66 contributionsBooked the trip before we arrived in Jamaica as we needed to get from Montego Bay to Kingston, so we had booking confirmation and tickets in advance of our trip. Bus terminal is walking distance from the airport exit and is signposted. Check in was easy; you're advised to check in not later than 45 minutes before departure. We were a bit late, but check in quick and not a problem. Don't rely on being late, though. Note the baggage limitations when you book. Luggage racks are normal bus size, so carry on for a plane is likely to need to go in the luggage area or under your legs. Bus left on time, made one comfort stop on route - where there's a cafe and rest rooms, and then inland and over the hills to New Kingston. Journey time was around three and a quarter hours - comfortable throughout. We had pre-arranged pick up at New Kingston but taxis are available. Would use again, with confidence. Fare for the trip is on the website - but less than a short taxi ride from MBJ to your hotel in Montego Bay!Written February 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KristyS6624Islip, NY5 contributionsMarvyn is amazing! We got to the bus with a cooler full of drinks and snacks for my kids. He made sure we were all happy and comfortable all day. We spoke prior to coming to Jamaica about everything we could do with the kids and he gave us great insight on what would be best traffic wise to do with our time while we were in port for our cruise. He made sure to have us back to the ship with plenty of time to spare. If you go to Jamaica and don’t use Marvyn’s Paradise Tours you are missing out!Written February 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mariah J4 contributionsNeville was absolutely amazing, he was punctual when picking us up and made us feel comfortable from the get go! He was very knowledgable about Trelawny and taught us so many interesting facts on our way to Martha Brae. The drive was smooth and quick - he drove safely and carefully unlike some of the other drivers we’d had! Also when we got to the tour he made sure we were seen to in a timely manner and just generally
took such good care of us. It was my birthday and he even decorated the vehicle with a cute banner when I told him! Best Jamaica Tours is the best of the three companies we booked tours with. When we return to Jamaica I will happily book with them and request NEVILLE again! - mvoneyeBrussels, Belgium59 contributionsWe had good fun going for a quick swim in this waterfall. The water was refreshing, and you can go behind the falls, which is cool. There is some litter around the place, but the water is clean.
Be aware that it's not a natural water fall - it's a manmade damn or something like that. And it's slightly tricky to drive there - for example, there is a ford to cross, but water levels were safe to drive through when we were there.
The locals are constantly coming up with new ways to extract money from tourists though. A guy on a bike forced us down a side road to another guy wearing a 'reggae falls site manager' tshirt asking for donations to help keep the river clean and paint the half-painted building behind him. We knew it was free to visit, so got passed him without paying, but he was reasonably pushy and said all sorts of things to try to guilt us into paying. If you want it to be a free trip, just don't give him money (or any of the people at the falls offering to watch your car for you).Written November 20, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - katiew33Portland9 contributionsWe used Clive’s to travel from Montego Bay to Treasure Beach, from Treasure Beach to Negril and then back ti the airport. They were fantastic and even stopped at YS falls for us! The drivers were punctual, friendly and knowledgeable. The vans were very nice, spacious and comfortable. The pricing was also very reasonable. I highly recommend!!Written January 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jennifer259Llanelli, UK486 contributionsThis company supplied us with a Taxi and a Driver. The driver was called Ralston. He was extremely helpful. He took us on a morning tour of part of the North coast
We visited places that we would never of known about if we had toured on our own.
We had a most enjoyable time
The cost of the Taxi and the Driver were very reasonable and well worth it.
I am happy to recommend Maxi Tours and in particular Ralston our driver. We will use then again in future.Written June 1, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was booked with a unique itinerary: Bob Marley museum, Port Royal park and Gloria's restaurant.
We were picked up from our hotel by a full size air-conditioned bus by our tour guide and driver. I cannot say enough about how pleasant any knowledgable they were. When we got lunch our tour guide even helped feed a toddler came with a couple in our group so the parents could eat.
Firstly, if you know reggae music or a Bob Marley fan - the museum is a life time must see. You are guided by friendly and knowledgable staff through Bob's old house which has been partially converted to a museum. The life, accomplishments, morality and music of the legendary artist are simply astounding.
We next did the old fort of Port Royal. Formally the wickedest port in the world, Port Royal is a living monument of the days of pirate rule.
Ending at Gloria's - authentic Jamaican seafood. Orders may take long but they are totally worth the wait.
Many don't think that Kingston has much to offer for sights and sounds. They are mistaken. Now it can be done in comfort.Written November 10, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We went on a few tours of St. Anne's and the surrounding areas, visited a couple of nice beaches and always felt safe with our driver who was very protective of us.Written August 6, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 599sylviahToronto, Canada45 contributionsI attended Good Friday mass 3.30.2018 at Mary Gate of Heaven church in Negril. The taxi driver who dropped me off at church did not return to pick me up. Lenny Goodwill was picking up his client Faye from Minnesota. Even though my hotel (Sensatori) was in the opposite direction, Lenny dropped me off. If I ever travel back to Negril, I will contact Lenny for any driver / tour needs.
