We booked a Martha Brae Rafting tour through Irie Tours Ja. We were on a Royal Caribbean cruise and they do not allow 2 year olds to raft. Our 2 yr old rafts with us at home and this was described as a mellow river. The driver, Dirvin, picked us up on time at the gates to the cruise port. Dirvin's vehicle was reliable and clean. He took us to the rafting location, arranged the tour, and picked us up. He took us to Juici Patties (our request, very affordable and delicious), took us to the gorcery store, and a beach before dropping us off at the cruise port. We had a lovely day, felt safe, and it as a treat to have such a great, kind, relaxed driver.

We were searching for a way to explore Jamaican waters by SUP without the restrictions of the resorts and Kimberley set up our experience in the Luminous Lagoon. We arrived at Buzzo’s restaurant to meet Captain Jerry and Kimberley who had the boards waiting for us. The SUP boards are high quality and were a welcome change to the resort paddle boards. We paddled around the lagoon, into the mangroves and would have paddle up the Martha Brae River, but it was too windy. We came in to eat at Buzzo’s before our night paddle on the lagoon. A guide took us out after dark and the Luminous Lagoon is an amazing experience on a paddle board! Every stroke is illuminated in the water and our guide let us get out and swim, as well. I’d highly recommend this experience!

I have to say that our trip was very disappointing. Compared to the last time we took trip last time in 2019. Sponge Bob was very entertaining and shared local history of 7 mile beach and we got to snorkel the reef and see the anchor(or bell) then go to booby cay to eat and snorkel. This trip was very disappointing. There was no music, no drinks, no history sharing no snorkelling. Our captain drove up to other boats to snorkel and as I pulled out my mask he asked if I thought we were snorkling ? He said we only paid an hour! I paid the 3 hour trip, why would he pull up to the snorkeling area slow down just to pull away. The we got to Booby cay, and he said this new guy will let us know when it’s time to go. We didn’t even get a chance to sit on beach and a guy asked if we ready to leave!?!? I was frustrated and he said he had to go because a couple wanted to leave asap because they were there since 8:00 am. Not my problem . We literally were at booby cay 15 minutes and then he said we had to go, give him a break because they sunk a boat from the previous storm so they had to go lift it. Again, not my problem and why sell me the trip if you can’t supply. Very disappointing and I will be posting this on Trip Advisor as well as other social media and sharing with other many crowds who go to 7 Mile. On top of it, we didn’t get our cash change from the trip, they kept saying they couldn’t find change. Doesn’t make it look good for tourists.
