This was the 2nd driving experience brought as gifts for my son. He did the junior rally driving last year and the junior 4x4 recently. He had an absolute amazing time, the instructors are very friendly and help put the inexperienced driver at ease. They guild and encourage them to get the best out of the experience. I would highly recommend them.

Just had a 3 day golf tour here. Friendly staff, very helpful. Good food for lunch good bar, and we enjoyed the golf on a well maintained course of moderate difficulty. we were off the yellow tees.

    Worth a visit

We have just rented 4 e-bikes for a week cycling around Cornwall. Nice bikes that were very well maintained. Very nice contact with Paul, who delivered and collected bikes.

First experience of going to a Polo Match. The day was in aid of “The St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation”. It was a brilliant day. Plenty to drink with delicious food. The skill of the horses and riders took your breath away.

For many years I visited airshows and watched as these beautiful aircraft have been put through thier paces with brave young women performing varying unbelievable acts attached to the wing, buffeted by wind and enduring 'G' during aerobatic maneouvers.

I knew this was another box that had to be ticked, so we booked this experience for the 10th October.

Now, where do I start with the days events?

Many years as a teenage boy I learned to fly gliders at Walney airfield, Cumbria. The airfield was amazing and the club at that time was very much family orientated. Similar to Aero Superbatics, we had visits from the public for flight experiences. You made new friends and for that day everyone became a family with one ambition. Enjoy a new experience and enjoy aviation.

Now, although I flew (twice with Aero Superbatics) and to say I enjoyed it is a HUGE under statement, it brought back fond memories of weekends at an airfield or visiting others. The times we stood waiting for cloud to lift or the wind speed to drop. The friendships made and the family members that were involved with the club.

My enjoyment for this day was two fold. Memories and then the flight experience.

My pilot for the day was Vic, the company owner. We were also looked after by Emma one of the teams wing walkers. Vics Grandaughter also looked after everyone throughout the day and following in her Grandfathers footsteps, is also learning to fly.

We arrived at 09.30 and throughout the morning waited for the cloud / mist to lift. We chatted to Vic who very kindly showed us some other elements of the airfield including the historic facilities at this amazing airfield.

Emma ran through the safety brief, kitted us out with flying suits, goggles, ear plugs and gloves. We made our purchases of T shirts and a highly recommended video package which films you from the wing and tail of the aircraft.

As the cloud lifted we started to prepare for our flight and Vic brought the aircraft around. Every element of climbing onto the aircraft and being secured was done by Emma and Vics Grandaughter (both highly experienced women). You taxi to your take off start position and a final check by the pilot is done to make sure you are ok and ready.

Now, on this day both my wife and I were flying. I have flown in all sorts of aircraft and have spent many a happy hour upside down. My wife has not, in fact generally she does not like flying so when she booked this I was suprised to say the least. Donna will admit she was slightly nervous and as she climbed up onto the wing and was secured in for a flight on (not in) a bi plane I had some nervous concern for her.

Donna went for the flight with a generous amount of time in the sky. The aircraft went through some exciting maneouvers with display smoke billowing from the tail.

On landing Donna said, " I loved that. That is the best thing I have ever done".

My first flight was the same but on landing I went straight into the office and paid to fly again but this time for the 'loop' experience.

Safety is paramount and although I had already flown, I was again given instruction on climbing to the wing.

We took off, climbed to 3500ft (as apposed to the earlier flight of approx 800ft).

A waggle of the wings from Vic was a check to make sure I was happy to continue. 'Double thumbs up' was an indication that I was happy to continue and then for a brief moment phrases from Top Gun (Maverick) entered my mind as well as a Red Arrows pilot instructions of "smoke on......GO" before we went into a dive, a loop and other aerobatic maneouvers.

Vic - to you and your team, a huge thank you for the 'entire' day. We were the first to arrive and the last to leave (& we didn't want to). The planes are amazing and the airfield is stunning.

I feel we could be back to visit in May 2024

This is an amazing experience and one you will not forget. Safety is PARAMOUNT. Staff have vast amounts of experience. The planes are stunning.

My only complaint is that I was not offered an inflight meal or a duty free trolley. The extra leg room was the best I have had.

Vic - Aerosuperbatics. Thank you very much. Fly safe and good luck in China

Highly recommend. Darren was quick to respond when I inquired about renting. My husband and I did a self guided route. We paid the extra 10 pounds and it was well worth it. The routes are well researched and laid out so you stay away from the busier roads. We had an absolute amazing day and would do it again in a heartbeat. 1st class all the way.

One suggestion for Darren - I would add waypoints/stops to the routes if possible. We wanted to stop for lunch but the villages are so small and restaurants not always easily recognizable. If you provided stops or even a paper list of restaurants/pubs in different villages that would be super helpful. Might even be able to work with restaurant/pubs to offer discount to Cotswold eBike riders.

Spent a lovely weekend cycling around the Cotswolds with Adventure Velo. The 2 day ride was led by Lauren who was a great host and informative, with Dan cycling behind ensuring no-one was lost along the way. The routes were well planned out mainly on the quieter country roads touching on less busy roads only when necessary. This was in the Cotswolds so there are hills but they were all 'do-able'. Cycled through some pretty towns and villages with lunch stops in Burford and Tetbury. Plenty of snacks and spare water were provided along the way. Overnight accommodation at the Cotswold Water Park and evening meal were included. A great, well organised weekend. Thanks Lauren!

£18 entrance is steep if only going to the Aquaventure. Like others have said time limited parking should be included in the price of ticket.

Lovely swimming spot and fairly reasonable prices. Yeah it doesn't have the bells and whistles like a toilet or cafe where you get in (I think there was one on site though) or changing rooms to use but it was still really nice and the people swimming there were friendly.
