Full of great history, art and stories. We had a guide, which I recommend as you might not get as much if you're on your own. We had Rebecca Harden and she was quite extraordinary with her good humour, kindness to the elderly and depth of knowledge.

What an amazing museum of Etruscan artefacts housed in the atmospheric 16th Century Villa of Pope Julius 111. No need to book, easy to get to - just a short ride on the 150F bus from Termini. Modern and laid out like a gallery internally & air conditioned. Not to be missed. Also Villa Pontiatowski nearby. It's fading splendour houses some interesting exhibits, particularly the last room with it's sumptuous grave goods from one tomb.

Breathtaking the way up the many, many stairs .... especially with temperatures around 33° Celcius !

But you'll be rewarded with a breathtaking view from the top, great to enjoy ... and for picture taking.

Very crowded, but no problem as the monument is really huge and you'll find a place to sit in the shadow an to chill, but not on the steps...😉

Free entry (except for temporary exhibitions).

We took our school group to the Museo Ebraica. Phenomenal tour by our English speaking guide. Wonderful exploration of the history and lives of the Roman Jewish Community. We learned so much. This is a truly unique history.

I strongly recommend visiting it. Any penny spent on it is worth it. There are a lot of paintings, a lot of architecture, and a lot of experiments... Must be visit again.

The altar of peace is impressive as is the modern building in which it is housed. The experience could be improved with more signage explaining more about the altar. We also visited the Helmut Newton temporary exhibit which was well displayed. Nonetheless, I was not impressed with Newton's work.

The building itself is amazing with all of the details. Very innovative.
Found it a little bit hard to find to the right places in the building but finally did it.
Really taken about the exhibition Sebastiao Salgado’s Amazonia. So breathtaking.

I thought the museum was nice. I thought the price was a little high for what was presented, but display were really good some really good information and a lot of reproductions of some of his designs.

A wonderful free museum located inside the Saint Sebastiano Gate of the Aurelian Walls. Absolutely fabulous to walk the walls and climb the tower for the amazing view. The day we visited there was also a photography exhibit, some Ancient Rome re-enactors, and children's activities. Very worthwhile!

Something a bit different to do when in Rome, especially if you have any gamers in the family. My son, and husband, had a ball here. Lots of different games and a VR to try out (some worked, some not great at working), but that didn't deter them, or me - yes I will admit to smashing my total at Space Invaders!! Good display of older models too and having to explain to my son what some of them were ... Not too far a walk after taking the metro to the closest stop as per the directions on the Vigamus' website.

Possibly it is fantastic first time here, but this time, I don’t know, maybe too many people, didn’t get the wow feeling it deserves.
It is part of the Vatican Museum ticket and take your time to have a look.
It is my forth time and certainly not the last.
Next time I come even earlier.

Great to see this house that would fit well in a fairytale movie or team park. Beautifully restored lead-inset windows. A guide is worth to take along you.
And take your time to enjoy the park as well!

If you are interested in history and archeology... will admire. Huge old statues, 15th to last century paintings, can barge into ancient Roman palace and old tomb stones, sarcophagus...

I am actually from Rome, but having lived away for long, I had never had the opportunity to visit the Medievale section of this museum, which is a part of Museum dedicated to civilizations almost worldwide.
I visited the ancient Middle Ages section for my studies and I really liked not only the possibility of seeing real objects I already saw in books, but I realised this is one of the experiences to reflect about the whole process of the Middle Ages in Italy and not only there.
It Is located in the area of EUR, which can be easily reached by underground or by bus n.714 from Termini train station if you prefer not to walk so much.
