Incredibly beautiful, yet extremely crowded. A lot very high-fashioned people haha. Still, a must-see on your trip to Milano.

We visited Santa Maria delle Grazie whilst on our guided tour of the Last Supper.

Its also known as "Holy Mary of Grace" and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The convent contains the mural of The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci, which is in the refectory. This is a famous and worthwhile painting tio view. Tickets can be difficult to obtain.

It is a blend of Gothic and Renaissance styles and was built on the site where a chapel with a fresco of the Madonna, known as Madonna delle Grazie, once stood.

The construction of the church was started in 1466 and completed in 1490.

Napoleon commissioned this Arch in recognition of his conquests. Sadly, he didn’t see it finished. Today it is a reminder of days gone by and is a good photo opportunity. The archway doesn’t look out of place and reflects how things were celebrated in the past.

Bosco Verticale, literally translated as Vertical Forest, is a complex of 2 residential skyscrapers with its distinctive feature of more than 2,000 species of trees and tall shrubs dressing its entire facade. In a world where climate change is becoming a pressing issue, such building will certainly please the climate advocates. This beautiful award-winning building is off-limit to the general public, so we can only admire its structure and take some photos. It is clearly visible from the Biblioteca degli Alberi park in the urban rejuvenated district of Porta Nuova, which is an ideal spot for your photo opportunity.

This is a large train station and an attractive building in its own right, as is often the case in Italy.

Everything is clearly signposted in Italian and English. Ticket office, self-service machines (not only for Trenitalia, the Italo company also has both ticket options), departure board, plenty of eateries, shops, etc.

Annoyingly the authorities have installed barriers before the platforms where you have to scan your ticket, and the barriers will only let you through a few minutes before your train leaves.

An absolute beautiful art filled , once lived in apartment, turned museum. The art is not from artists that non art lovers would know but non the less quality pieces. It’s a great, interesting and FREE way to spend 20-30 minutes.

The hospital was founded in 1456 at the request of the spouses Francesco Sforza and Bianca Maria Visconti as the main hospital for the poor Milanese. The construction of a huge complex in the Renaissance style began to be built by Filarete, but it was completed by other architects. Since 1958, the humanities faculties of the State University have been housed in the former hospital. The Ospedale Maggiore hospital itself was moved to the northern part of the city, to a new building complex.

Manzoni was in the 19t.th century a very famous writer. Here in this house he lived until his death. You can also visit the small museum dedicated to him and his works.

This is a nice church, but a bit different. The altar was fenced in with a gate. It is small, but very nice looking inside, and plain and ordinary outside. The exterior looks less like a church and more like a courthouse. If you are not focused, you will walk right by it and not notice it.

Overlooking the square featuring the monument to Giuseppe Verdi, this very nice palace was built between 1895 and 1899 at the express wish of Verdi, who commissioned the design to Camillo Boito brother of the famous librettist Arrigo.
Foundedas retiirement home for struggling musicians and singers.
The architectical style used was the Romanesque-revival.
In the coutyard you can see the crypt containing the tombs of verdi and his second wife.

As the title says, a brief detour just to take a photo of the interesting design of this office building. The main selling point being the eight statues adorning it.

Is it worth a visit if you are here for a weekend, no, maybe not even worth a visit at all, but I was glad we did and got an interesting photo for our trouble.

One of the oldest churches in the city. It was built in the 11th century. You must be lucky to get in, three times we were there was closed. It is in the very busy part of Milan.

    Baroque architecture
Beautiful seventeenth-century building in the center of Milan, the State Railways have finally left (although they remain the owners) to give way to a more appropriate regional headquarters for Cultural Heritage and tourism in Lombardy.
The palace has an important portal with two giants, in the style of the Omenoni palace, which support the convex balcony. Corinthian-style columns run from the first floor to the third floor.
Above, the attic gable (completion wall element) with two statues supporting the coat of arms of the Litta family, one of the illustrious families of the Milanese aristocracy
The inner courtyard is also beautiful

The Torre Hadid, officially called the Generali Tower is a building designed by the well known architect
Zaha Hadid. The building is shaped like a rectangular tube that’s been warped or twisted along the vertical axis.

Very interesting design and worth a look if in the area.
