What travelers are saying
- j l20 contributionsWe went there on our way home in the early morning. At that time of the day we were the only visitors and we had lots of opportunity to enjoy the amazing view.Written October 6, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sandro CCasorezzo, Italy410 contributionsIl Rifugio is a well organized moutain hut. To reach it, you will need to follow a very well designed path starting from Valnontey - almost 1 hour walk from Cogne and climb for about 1.200 meters to reach the altitude of the Rifugio at almost 2600 meters. But the views of Gran Paradiso will pay back your efforts. Buona passeggiata!Written August 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - שי גIsrael124 contributionsThere are several routes to get from Chamois to Lago di Lod. We took the cable car from Chamois one way up and went down (from the lake) by foot.
The surrounding is very welcoming with lots of place to sit and tables spread along the trees around the lake.
We enjoyed our time there.
Chamois itself also have some very nice routes to hike.Written December 26, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The walk is some 250 meter up from the start to the top. If you walk counter clockwise you will start with walking to a nice view point . From there it is up and you end walking along the top of the ridge with good view to both sites. It is not good if you are scared of heights. The last 40% of the trip are more normal hiking. If you don’t like heights do the walk clockwise and stop at the top of the ski lift and walk back down again.Written July 7, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Anthony SBrisbane, Australia1,863 contributionsAs far as waterfalls go these are pretty much average, but pleasant enough.
They are located on the trail, easily accessible by foot from the parking lot at the end of the road. The trail goes through a very pleasant forest and would be a nice short walk.Written September 4, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
