This is one of the places which you can call “must see” especially if you like nature and horses.
It is a unique place where within two hours walk you can see wild horses, goats and sheep, hear wild pigs rumbling through the bushes and evidence some old shepherd houses.
Guided tour by Roberto is well organized and I advise to stay for local dinners afterwards for the complete experience.
    We enjoyed it very much!

Can be a bit tricky to find, especially if some of the gates aren't open. I parked near the Parrocchia SS. Ambrogio e Ignazio Church as there is an entrance just up from there. Really nice walking, lovely waterfalls, beautiful.

Recommend hiring a golf buggy at Oasi Naturale 'le prigionette,' where you can purchase your park entry ticket also. The golf buggy experience is led by a guide, who spoke English, we saw deer, wild boar, donkeys, horses, vultures and buzzards. Through the guide we got so much out of the experience, and riding around in the buggy was fun. We stopped at various places to look at flora and fauna and at the top walked a short walk about 300m to a spectacular cliff top panorama over the ocean. We saw fossils in the rocks and even fox tracks, our guide Sara was very knowledgeable, we recommend this experience đź‘Ś

I am a marathon runner, and I reached parco Terramaini from midtown to have a run in the shade during a short stay in Cagliari. The park is a pleasant spot to rest and run; more to have a break than a good run, at least for long distance runners, 'cause the longest lap is about one mile long. But if you leave the park on the far (i.e. North-easyern) side, and cross a bridge, and turn right, you'll find a long path leading back to Cagliari, along the "stagno" (salty lake), towards the sea.

Did the green trail up which is the quickest way up to the top. It’s 2.3km up, which is 361M high and it’s not easy. Took us 50 minutes and that’s with stopping a few times to catch our breath and have some water. You need to make sure you have water, wear good shoes and go early before it gets too hot. We came down the long route (red and yellow) which was about 10.2KM and took about 2.5 hours, the first part is very picturesque but the last part is pretty boring, just trees and a dirt road. We did see donkeys though on the way down which was very cool.
I’d say you need to be fit and able to do the direct route up as there’s quite a lot of loose rubble.

Quite a way from the centre, we stopped off on the way back from visiting the castle. A pleasant park in the centre of a busy suburban area the park is nice enough to spend an hour or two in without offering anything archaeological or unmissable. Worth a visit if you are in the area as it is free.

This is a lovely central park, next to a canal. It is well used and has lots of runners as well as families just enjoying the green space and shade of the trees. It was impressively clean and well cared for too and there is a large childrens play area as well as an outdoor exercise area with a few machines and tennis courts.

It was a wonderful experience. The restaurant farm is located in a remote area. Outdoor dining on the terrace on large dressed tables surrounded by olive trees sets the mood.
The chef owner is passionate about what she does, it is evident in what is presented.
Probably the best cured meats and cheeses I’ve had in Sardinia. Roasted peppers round out a very nice antipasto.
Delicate ravioli in light pomodoro are a nice pasta course. Classic Sardinian dishes are prepared in true form. Fregola, pork and suckling pig are all top notch.
Coffee and sweet zeppoli finish up a great meal and experience!

    Grazie molto!

We took a walk here with a guide which staying at the resort. Beautiful views and some interesting animals to look at. The little farm was really fun--there were some animals to pet or hold and a farmer making fresh cheese. Worth visiting if you have some time.

we loved the T-rex but the guide was very very informative and incredibly knowledgeable so in truth the guide was the best part, at least for us,but the dinosaurs were fun and the winner for our son, I would recommend this for children from 6/7 and up.

Park formerly part of a country house. Now restored and maintained by the local council. There are good walks very close to Sassari centre. Not sure whether picnics are allowed but think it would be a great site. Helpfully there is the commercial centre and supermarket nearby.
