- Elena RoscignoSicily, Italy3 contributionsI am really proud of people that involved in this place creation/management.
This sort of park/museum is an innovation that needs to be comprehended and appreciated. It is quite pleasing!
My colleague and I found workers patient and willing with us.
The restaurant there is so lovely: typical tasty Sicilian food with the nicest staff in the town. I have to say thank you to the owner, because he had the idea of creating a modern but old Motel at the same time using his parents'house.
In my opinion, a tour guide that explains the real symbol of the place is the only thing that is missing.

There are several great cafes and restaurants. It appears to attract less tourists than more central parts of the city.

Not much to see, but atmospheric. And you can always find a decent coffee or bite to eat.Written February 6, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tom O16 contributionsbeautiful tiny village close to Cefalu. Nothing touristy, but great views of the sea and a disproportianate number of excellent restaurants.Written June 8, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Grace20 contributionsThis is a typical small Sicilian village, with fisherman on the balcony and old boat made with wood in the port.
There is also a bar with a platform for going in the sea ( unless you prefer going though rocks ) called Bora Bora at the end of the village
It’s better going there in the morning because in the afternoon the sun goes down after the mountain ( the TIMPA that is a natural reserve) so will not be sunnyWritten August 11, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We were impressed by its beauty and the simplicity and authenticity of its people. People there don't care about your wallet but after...checking you out , you are part of a family.Written July 23, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GiKosPalermo, Italy2,210 contributionsHeart of Ballarò, this area of the ancient city preserves flavors, customs and traditions of the past. Narrow alleys and small squares with an oriental scent, close to the historic food market of Ballarò, will seem to be in an Arab country for the multi-ethnic presence of the people and for the characteristic flavors that you can taste in many gastronomic places, in a mixture of cuisine Mediterranean, African and AsianWritten January 16, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ValiMVBucharest, Romania1,750 contributionsAn interesting city, suitable for tourists. Maybe due to the fact that we arrived at lunchtime and was warm, we saw only very few tourists. An old, extremely quiet town with a panoramic view of the mountains. Unfortunately, many shops closed at that time. Honestly, it is worth discovering this city with a wonderful architecture.Written August 3, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - IAN DWigan, UK19,629 contributionsThis street is full of designer shops from the high end of fashion. Very nice street which connects via Etna to the sea. - Chris MMontreal, Canada15 contributionsNice city but don’t be fooled by the exterior of those old buildings the interior is often splendid and spectular. My only problem with Palermo is the lack of any discipline and courtesy of the cars and scooter drivers. Walking in the streets of Palermo is a fight for your life. Basically Palermo is very much alive and that is why I loved it so much.Written October 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
