What travelers are saying
- Thomas VOakland, CA16,858 contributionsThis is a lovely city park in a very upscale part of town. Some beautiful buildings around taking advantage of the views of the nicely-landscaped green space. We hopped off the bus in front and were pleasantly surprised with the park, so we went in to explore a bit.Written December 3, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Antonio E166 contributionsThe area is very nice both for the nature and for the Abbey. - tk3232Sugar Land, TX3,828 contributionsParc de Bruxelles is located just across Royal Palace and considered as Royal Park. Copying Versailles, the Habsburg empress Maria Theresa of Austria (Marie-Antoinette's mom) had this symmetrical park laid out in 1776 (she ruled but never visited, the city). This is one of many large parks of Brussels, which started with an awareness of the importance of city planning. Honestly, the park is just a park, nothing special, just take a walk, sit and breathe. And if it weren’t for the funny sculptures scattered along the alley, there’s not much to do or see there.Written September 27, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - EurogirlBelgiumCambridge, UK93 contributionsA lovely green spot away from the hustle and bustle of Place Jourdan on a Sunday morning. You can stroll round the small lake or sit on the grass. There is also a small playground that looked well maintained. There are a few Egyptian geese on the lake and you can hear the green parakeets squawking even if you can’t see them.Written September 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - bwillispdxPortland, OR14 contributionsA park designed for the World’s Fair, it is a quiet place for a run. While it looks very large on the map, the majority of the park is off limits to the public. However, you can run to other parks for a longer run but you will be on the street for some of the time.Written February 25, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Joseph MGharb, Malta100 contributionsThis is located in central area of Brussels and ideal for a walk in busy city. Also recommended to read a book and relax on a bench in this garden. Could be busy at times. Attention also to sun as there are no shady areas and can be very hot in summer time. Good place for a photo from the stairs in front of the garden.Written June 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is a Natura 2000 site, and has some rare bird species. It also has a play ground for kids. When we visited they were renovating the buildings and the café was unfortunately closed. But it was still a nice walk.Written February 12, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- nidriksDorset, UK44 contributionsI was on my way to the Atomium from my small hotel near Stuyvenbergh and decided to check out the parks I could see on the map. I'm glad I did.
Maybe it's an age thing, as I near 50, but I've developed a respect for gardens that I never really had before.
Les Jardins des Fleuriste are really quite the sight, even as autumn is drawing in.
If you're planning a trip to Atomium from central Brussels, do yourself a favour and leave the metro at Stuyvenbergh and wander the parks first. There are trams nearby that I am sure can take you to the Atomium afterwards.Written October 16, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
