This is a lovely city park in a very upscale part of town. Some beautiful buildings around taking advantage of the views of the nicely-landscaped green space. We hopped off the bus in front and were pleasantly surprised with the park, so we went in to explore a bit.

Parc de Bruxelles is located just across Royal Palace and considered as Royal Park. Copying Versailles, the Habsburg empress Maria Theresa of Austria (Marie-Antoinette's mom) had this symmetrical park laid out in 1776 (she ruled but never visited, the city). This is one of many large parks of Brussels, which started with an awareness of the importance of city planning. Honestly, the park is just a park, nothing special, just take a walk, sit and breathe. And if it weren’t for the funny sculptures scattered along the alley, there’s not much to do or see there.

This is located in central area of Brussels and ideal for a walk in busy city. Also recommended to read a book and relax on a bench in this garden. Could be busy at times. Attention also to sun as there are no shady areas and can be very hot in summer time. Good place for a photo from the stairs in front of the garden.

Really pretty place to walk around and enjoy flowers and trees and turtles and fish. They lock it up at nights to keep it safe. I really enjoyed it.

I was on my way to the Atomium from my small hotel near Stuyvenbergh and decided to check out the parks I could see on the map. I'm glad I did.

Maybe it's an age thing, as I near 50, but I've developed a respect for gardens that I never really had before.

Les Jardins des Fleuriste are really quite the sight, even as autumn is drawing in.

If you're planning a trip to Atomium from central Brussels, do yourself a favour and leave the metro at Stuyvenbergh and wander the parks first. There are trams nearby that I am sure can take you to the Atomium afterwards.

We visited the Sculpture Garden which located along Rue de la Regence (just as you passing the main entrance to the Royal Museum of Fine Arts). In truth, the park consists of one impressive sculpture of Aristide Maillol, a master of the female form and contemporary of Rodin. This is beautiful sculpture named The River (1938-1943), located in the middle of huge round pond with water lilies represents a woman sprawled on her side.

The wave-like figure teeters on the edge of a pool water, about to pour in. Is she a symbol of the mystery of water, the victim of war... or is she just washing her hair? Another copy of this bronze statue sprawls near a pool in the courtyard of New York's Museum of Modern Art. In fact, this is a small garden with a large sculpture and one bench, where we sat and relaxed for 15 -minutes, but the sculpture is worth looking at.

Wow, totally magic with the changes of seasons, the colours of the leaves, and the soft paths covered with leaves. Enjoyed the walk and the relaxation this brought at the end of a hectic day............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................ ..

The Garden of Sculptures is located just next to the Royal Museum of Fine Arts on Rue de la Régence. This is a small garden with some interesting contemporary sculptures. It is believed that the garden is also located on the site of an 18th-century botanical garden because of the unique tree species that can be found here.

There is a fountain and park benches to sit while viewing the sculptures. A decent place for a brief rest before/after your museum visit. Otherwise, if you are interested in gardens with monument viewing, make sure to also visit the Jardin du Petit Sablon just 50-60 metres down the street from here as well. There you will find lovely landscaping and impressive statues of historic Belgian figures of history.

Walking along Rue De La Madeleine you come to Saint Mary Magdalene Church ,one of the most historic churches in Brussels ,this church sits in it's own beautiful and well kept gardens that's just an oasis of green calm amidst the hustle and bustle of the area around Brussels Central Railway Station.
I loved just sitting in the garden area and taking in the great views of the church, such a calm place ,if you're in the area it's a church and garden area I highly recommend you check out .
