Very good area with colourful houses and many restaurants. Unique experience next to the canal. A must-see when you visit Copenhagen.

The castle is very beautiful and well preserved. You get a sense of how life actually was lived here. I enjoyed the to floor ballroom very much. The garden looks lovely but I will have to return in the summer time to see it in bloom.

Around 6 pm, the church itself was closed, but i was able to get a ticket to climb the tower.
It was not an easy climb, and you have to be kind of fit to climb it with it spiral wooden stairs. The view from the top was amazing and worth the climbing.

Really interesting place to understand the history of Denmark throughout the ages. Collections are really varied from the inside of churches and danish rooms, to dolls houses and toys though the ages. There’s even an area for kids to play in including a pirate ship and imaginary play. Well worth a visit

Stunning palace with lovely grounds. It was a treat to see the horses being exercised too. Well worth a visit if you’re in Copenhagen.

Historical sikte well worth a visit. A bit disappointed that the library was closed for renovations during our visit - please inform guests about this upon entrance. Lovely ”kissing bench” on top floor, a lovely place to get engaged :-)

The highlight of my short trip to Copenhagen - first visit in 40+ years!
What a new gorgeous building with lovely open public spaces looking over the water. Extremely comfortable seats and excellent view from the very top balcony - great value for money at around £40 equivalent (everything else in Copenhagen was very expensive!)
A grand production of a grand opera with impressive cast - well-balanced singing and orchestra on form and the sound was intense especially hearing it from up high. I appreciated the subtitles in both Danish and English.
Easy to reach by public transport (2 buses via the central station) but the bus due after the performance didn't turn up so had to walk 30 minutes to the nearest Metro...best check travel arrangements late at night.
PS watch out for strange seat numbering - I was seat no 2 in the middle of the row but seat 1 was to my left and seat 4 to my right... Is this a Danish quirk?

Interesting fortifications in a park. Quite interesting to stroll round en route to Little Mermaid and Gefion Fountain

Beautiful church. Ideal for a quick visit.
Unfortunately could not visit the top of the dome as nobody was there to tend to tourists.
But well worth a visit as the biggest dome in Scandinavia.

We visited using our Copenhagen Card. Again, with it not being the busiest day, we couldn't tell where the entrance was. However, it wasn't as disappointing as some previous reviews suggested. If you love history, you'll love the museum. It does give you great detail about prominent figures of the Danish royal family and their British & Russian relatives. There were two excellent staff members there that gave us so much information about the 4 buildings, Queen Margarethe and the now King & Queen. Thanks to them, we were reminded to catch the changing of the guards outside which was a great experience.

This is an almost 2km stretch starting from Nyhavn and ending at the main plaza, or is it the Tivoli gardens amusement park. In this walk you could pass by restaurants of international choices , shops from local designer to the extreme luxury, and even fountains, churches etc. Even with a long stretch you could hardly notice that tiring experience since everything seems to be a feast for the senses.

The Little Mermaid is one of those iconic statues across the world that you just have to see when visiting certain cities. As a tour guide referenced to us, ‘it is spectacularly underwhelming!’

That being said I wouldn’t have missed it, we got some great photos and I have seen something with my own eyes that until now I’ve only seen in photos.

If in Copenhagen, it’s a must but it won’t take up much of your day.

We caught the 6A bus from near Torvhallen to Bispepberg Torv on a Sunday morning. The church is very close to the bus stop. Before visiting the church we explored the Bispepberg cemetery, which is really the Grindtvigs Churchyard. The magnificence of the church is framed by the poplars of the cemetery’s central Avenue. The autumn landscape of the immaculately planned and managed cemetery was breathtaking. After spending some time there we headed back to the church. The interior was as inspiring and beautiful as expected. I’ve not been in a building with such soaring elegance. We had arrived at the end of a christening and chatted with parishioners, which enhances our appreciation of the place. This was a highlight of my visit to Copenhagen.

especially liked the spray from nose. See it at same time as the mermaid (bigger and better than) and citadel.

Impressive city hall building on the side of a large paved square. Interesting architecture and a few towers around. Busy square with traffic and shops and cafes all nearby.
