Very interesting museum about the flora and fauna of Lapland and the history of Lapland and Rovanemi.
There is also an exhibition about the Arctic.
Duration of visit approx. 2 hours.

While it is kinda hokey, and primarily a huge souvenir shopping experience, we enjoyed our visit. We missed seeing Santa and paying $70 for a picture with him.

A very good ski resort it's amazing for beginners and there is not a lot of people there so you can practice without having a lot of interruptions and the people are very nice!

I think this is a great place for kids even though I would consider it slightly pricy during the high season given what it offered. You can see Santa's car, gift shops, and a small Santa post office. You can also meet with Santa and decorate your own Elf or gingerbread cookie. They have an Elf acrobatic show which lasts ~15mins and I really enjoyed, lots of trampolines. There is an Elf school you can attend and a magic train. I think for kids it's a really great experience.

Walking in a beautiful forest area, covered in low annuals, imagining a scene in winter where the snow is often up to a metre deep. The path is well formed and easy to walk on. Tranquil, though in summer be prepared for mosquitos.

Amazing and very impressive view over Finland and rovaniemi if you have a sunny day. Hidden spot but worth to walk there even if it’s cold!

Small and sweet farm yard for group tourists like us. We like the reindeer and bought food (5euro) to feed the reindeer. The farm has alpacas, chicken, rabbits, sheep, and goat too.

We did the Christmas dinner and really enjoyed our experience. We have 2 girls ages 5 and 7 and they were over the moon with so many eleves to play with and a visit with Santa. The two things I would note:
1- this was supposed to be a 3 hour experience but they were 30 min late to pick us up. Which made for very stressed kids who thought they had forgotten us and it made the experience feel rushed, as instead of still having the 3 hours our time was cut short. They had an amazing bonfire which we didn’t get to enjoy, the cutting and trimming of the tree was rushed and dinner was rushed as well.
2- after having paid such an high price per person for this dinner, they didn’t include drinks and we had to pay an extra 5 euros for soft drinks. I mean honestly, just charge 5 more euros and include the drink and be done with it. Instead they brought a cart and went around the tables charging people, which felt very distasteful.

I would still recommend the experience as our kids loved it.

Excellent time in the park! We all had lots of fun. Sledges lying around and there is a hill at the back of the park. Amazing time!

We had to stop in town for a little bit and I wanted to see at least one heritage place, so this was it. This church is rather massive, even though it isnt a cathedral, and the exterior, although fine is quickly overshadowed by the light, colorful and harmonious interior, endowed with a magnificent frescoe. Outside the church, there is a beautiful WW2 monument and grave as well. and the city library is very close by. Basically, there is no reason not to take a look in here.

Firstly I have to say the centre is quite small. That surprised us at first. But when you enter the exhibition you realise the interactivness is the key to a great visit. Every little detail is well thought through. You get to experience the Northern forests with all senses! Our family had a great few hours touching, smelling, feeling and learning - also singing karaoke and getting lost in the woods. 😄 The staff here is super: do ask them for guidance. Also the Pilke shop is a good spot to scout for souvenirs.

We visited the city centre from the Santa Claus Village to pick up some winter clothes that we were renting, so we decided to spend the morning in Rovaniemi. There really isn't much to do here but visit the Arkitrum museum and take in the views of the Lumberjack Candle Bridge. Is it good? Sure. It's an impressive bridge, and it's worth a photo. I'm not sure what else to tell you about it.
