Went in the evening during December. Came out of the nearby train station into a dodgy looking area but crossed over to the funfair area. Got onto the ferris wheel pretty quickly, not too crowded and no seating so free to walk around the carriage and take photos from both sides. Good views, able to drop down a window to avoid glare/reflections from a camera. Also a small museum area showing the history of Vienna.

We walked to St Francis from the cruise terminal and it is a very beautiful church. There is a park around it and as we walked around we found the side doors open. It says it is open 8-12:00 so we went inside. It is spectacular on the inside and there were beautiful works of art . There were people praying so you need to be respectful and quiet if you are just visiting to see it.

It's interesting to have seen one more "country" when in Vienna. Even if there is not much to see and it's impossible to enter, it's interesting to be aware of such a place.

Actually the photo shown isn't 'Three Brothers' - that's 'Totem Modern' by a street artist called Honet who has painted the heads of various superheroes in groups of 3 on the road pillars all around Kriesau u-bahn station (line 2). I saw Batmam, the Thing, the Hulk, Captain Marvel and quite a few others. Three Brothers is a bit further down and is a similar set of street art paintings also under the roadway but painted by Brazilian artist Speto to celebrate the Amazon. It's pretty cool. And while you're here stroll across towards Messe to see City Lake,
