What travelers are saying
- sante a1 contributionPlease avoid renting an umbrella at Lido Azzurro. It opens from 9.00 a.m. to 6.30, plus the staff is rude. The restaurant upstairs is a complete rip-off. They serve frozen food and low quality food and beverage. They won’t see me there anymore. Try some other beach or lido in the area.Written August 2, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- julian c5 contributionsProbably the best beach of the Gargano Coast, absolutely to visit, there's nothing to add. Believe meWritten September 1, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Luca CThe Netherlands93 contributionsThis beach is not easy to visit. From the main road we took a small road which leads to two hotels. There wasnt a possibility to park so we had to drive back. A few miles east there are some parking spots next to the road. When they are full you are not lucky. Otherwise walk back across the bridge and take a 20 minutes walk downwards to the see. The beach is gorgeous, white pebbles and clear blue water. The rock formation is impressive. Unfortunaley is a part of the beach reservated for an hotel. The restaurant is only accesable for the hotel guests, which is a shame. The walk back is hot and take some time. So it's not very suitable for very young kids and older people.Written July 28, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sandra GSchiedam, The Netherlands37 contributionsJust a nice beach with very nice restaurants to have lunch of even dinner in the evening. Parkingplace and two beds with umbrella 14 euro.Written August 12, 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 781smilea68 contributionsWhen you want a perfect spot in the beach, whole day, just laying on the sun and getting on the water whenever you want, this is a good place to be around Foggia, around 40- minute drive from the city centre. It was still quiet when we got there but was informed that it can be full during weekends since summer is here. The area is rocky so I would suggest to bring waterproof shoes. The place is accessible from the road with a good tiny restaurant and ice cream bar nearby.Written July 1, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chante_mSalt Lake City, UT181 contributionsLike finding elven ruins in Middle Earth. What a gem. Originally a temple to Jupiter. Wear decent hiking shoes; a stony climb.Written October 19, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- qbpd138 contributionsWe spent a day at the free beach of Mattinata. There are dozens of car parkings around and it is quite intransparent what they charge you. We found one "connected" to the spiagga libera that charged €5 for an entire day.Written July 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sylvain G.Lugrin, France196 contributionsFabulous sightseeing, with a green sea of olive trees descending the slow slope until the blue sea. And the mountains in the background.
It can easily be accessed by car, with only the last 200 meters to be walked.Written August 3, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
