- raybyerleyMandeville, LA3,584 contributionsWe had a very nice tour of this Cathedral, the adjacent winery, and the town square today.
The church was apparently rebuilt in the late 1800s (a few pictures inside and out are attached) and the organ was also made in the late 1800s ( with over 6,000 pipes) picture attached.
Apparently centuries of conquerers and wars ruined it from the 11th or 12th century.Written October 11, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This factory made the roof tiles for St. Mattias Church in Budapest. There are many pieces of art that are worth a look. This museum does not take long to go through.Written May 29, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- GoofyDad43Sumter, SC9 contributionsFascinating place to see impact of early Roman Christians as well as Roman architecture and construction practices. The facility is outstanding with movies in Hungarian and English with a very helpful staff. Given its proximity to the Pecs Cathedral, highly recommend a walkthrough prior to seeing the cathedral. Watching the film and observing the mausoleum only took 15 minutes. If you go, highly recommend buying the combination ticket to see the Sopianae right up the hill. The information gleaned from some of the bone analyses was fascinating to see the contrast in living conditions.Written February 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MaryannF650Clarksville, TN1,500 contributionsDuring a river cruise, my husband and I stopped in historic Pecs for a visit. We had an opportunity to spend time at the magnificent Pecs Cathedral, Zolnay’s Museum to see and hear about the manufacturing of its famous porcelain tile and the Cella Septichora burial site. It was an educational experience and an incredible photo op. Lots to see and enjoy. Don’t miss this place.Written September 10, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- William PGlendale, AZ1,334 contributionsRight in the middle of the old city is Kiraly Utca. It is a relatively straight street with gorgeous painted buildings on either side. Different types of architectures adorn the buildings and are certainly worth a healthy peeking!Written April 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
