Such a lovely little park, surrounded by so many nice buildings - it is well worth taking the time to come and visit this area - lots to see in such a small space.

All Myanmar seaports are managed by the Myanmar Ports Authority (MPA), which is managed by the Ministry of Transport. One of the most secure buildings on the list since colonial times. Many of these houses were built by colonialists with government offices. It is difficult to comprehend why some are so well cared for while others are damaged. Well-planned and well-maintained operations can save buildings that need to be restored for future generations to be saved.

The Royal Court of Arms above the entrance of the British embassy says it all in French! "Those who want evil, will find God and my Law on their way".

It is a beautiful building and very well maintained due to the presence since 1948 of the embassy and the British Council. It dates from 1900 and served as an office of the prestigious J. and F. Graham Shipping Co.

It is quite difficult to imagine the past opulence of this stately building. The former Yangon Division Court is now a ruin with little care or attention given. Urgent repair work needed.

Worth popping your head inside, to see what's left of a fine colonial building - the windows, roof, counters etc. There's also a collection of old equipment - telegraph, telex, etc and an old postbox.
