What travelers are saying
- Marchia C1 contributionHad a great night, definitely recommend going.. had the tour and the meal.
Beer was lovely, Laura our tour guide was really good, full of information, and made us all feel very welcome.
The food was really nice, so yes, do give it a go.. I did it as a gift for my husband and we both really enjoyed it..Written March 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We flew owls, a rook, falcons and a vulture! Tiny owl Duke was so cute. There were only the two of us, which was lucky for us, but they do only take small groups so plenty of opportunity to handle the birds. A fantastic experience and well recommended.Written March 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- robin9342Hastings, UK4 contributionsLovely little outing for me and my 2 1/2 year old. Great first experience for him with real animals, well looked after. Enthusiastic staff. Easy, free parking. Certainly a pleasant change from huge, yet overcrowded, sterile, massive queue venues. Right next to the main railway - a bonus for a train nerd.Written March 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - WantItGoodFerndown, UK77 contributionsWe were lucky that our holiday cottage included free entry to this house and gardens. We visited on a windy day well into September, which meant that the extensive gardens weren't looking their absolute best but were still full of interest and colour. It was very, very quiet when we turned up but this belies the fact that there is a tea room serving nice drinks, snacks and lunches and more importantly some extremely knowledgeable room guides who made the house really interesting. They seemed genuinely interested in the house and its history, so you'd think they were there just for you - that's professional. Do make sure you check opening times to avoid disappointment - we returned a few days later and found that the house itself was closed and the tea room was self-service.Written September 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bobbie C3 contributionsWe stayed for 3 nights at the Mount Ephraim B&B. It was a wonderful experience. Beautifully appointed room with en suite and fabulous views over the gardens. Breakfast was excellent and cooked to order. The Red Lion Pub is just 2 mins drive from the property. It was buzzing and we enjoyed 2 great meals there. A special thanks to Elliot and Sophie who looked after us so well at the Mount Ephraim. We will be back!Written September 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- RavenreaderCanterbury, UK6 contributionsVisited for the first time today and was given a whizz round tour by one of the volunteers. So many interesting exhibits with some interactive displays. Amazing to think what an important role Faversham has played through the centuries. Everything from complete shop fronts, to old lace, Roman artefacts and vintage petrol pumps and so much more. Free entry, helpful guides and a warren of displays. We’ll be back!Written February 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Holly DollyLondon, UK269 contributionsWe popped into Faversham on the way home for being away one weekend.
We have family who live in Faversham so have been before but we alway like the market days. There are a lot of stalls, providing local food and drink and also pet stuff which we love!
The market has a vibe about it, there is a lot to look at and some great coffee shops surrounding it to grab a hot drink while you wander round.Written February 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - steven wLeeds, UK217 contributionsIt is not every day that you are shown around a 14th century farmhouse by a Russian Princess, and this was the best tour of our visit to Kent. Olga Romanov was most welcoming, funny, frank and gave us two hours of insight into her life and the lives of her parents and grandparents who escaped the revolution. The history is fascinating, as is how she is preserving the farmhouse for the future. Tours need to be booked and are only on some days. Well worth the visit.Written September 10, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Hayley TChilham, UK42 contributionsThis woods is popular for a reason. Great trails suitable for a variety of visitors...families, kids, dog walkers, bmxers, horse riders, bird watchers and of course nature lovers!!
It’s a stunning spot worth a visit for a walk, a picnic and the view from the pulpit is great!Written March 17, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
